Ok i know everyone says how if u get 7 to 1 u should all no matter what u have
but for the sake of discussion lets take this example
u are in a mtt, blinds are 100/200 with 25 ante with 8 players at the table
u get 2 limpers when it gets to you in SB, BB is a guy who never raises from BB, UTG+1 limper is a player who plays a solid game
so the pot is 900 u have 100 to call and u look at 24o
now accordint to calculator u are 13.68% to win
is it really worth to call, i mean with 2 limpers and a bb still in, how likely is it that u will actually win specially since u can be up against so many overcards and lets not forget this is a MTT and every chip counts.
I tend to disagree with people who say u call with any 2, simply becouse protecting chips is so important in MTT's specially if blinds would be higher.
i can understand calling in a cash game where u can reload at any time and there is no pressure, but seriously is my thinking here flawed and if, why so ?

While looking at it from a mathematical stand point, when getting 9-1 pot odds you should call with pratically any 2. Although I try to limit my hand selection to hands that have potential, not hands like J2 or Q3. Most of the time though you won't be getting those kind of odds, so when the opportunity arises, you should take advantage of it. The other thing is that if you flop a monster and don't get paid off, all the dead money in the pot still makes it worth the limp in. I t also depends on your stack size as well. If you only have around 20bb than I wouldn't be wasting chips, but if you have around 50bb, than it's a different story.

It depends on your stack size, but I'd probably call here with any two that are suited or connected just for sheer odds. If you miss, you've not invested a great deal. Now, if you're short-stack, I'd push and try to steal the blinds or fold. If you're sitting on a fairly average stack then a call would be in order. If you're big stack, any of the above would be appropriate.

Definite call IMO.
Don't always look at odds in MTTs. Look more at risk / reward. Instead of rambling why, here is a perfect example of why you do it. Don't know if you've read this thread or not, but it is Webby posting a bunch of hands from an MTT he won.
