How many bad beats can you take in one night/Tourney. Last night i must have gotten bad beats like there were destened to be mine. I think i saw about 10-15 hands that only 1 or 2 cards in the whole deck would have help and they got all there hands. Its unbeliveable. lol

Ah! Don't worry... I know your feeling...

I had a few bad beats myself, in a casino. They almost convinced me to stop playing poker, hell... Well, they're not extreme bad beats, but still... I had a few straights beaten by flushes, flushes beaten by boats, etc. There's one in particular that really pissed me off...

I was dealt K-Q, flopped my two pairs. I raised everytime I could. The other cards were low cards. No possible straight/flush draws. After the river was dealt, it came down to me and one other guy, he bet, I raised, he called, and you guessed it, he had me on the river. The river was a 3, and he made trips with his pocket 3s. He called every raises I made... with pocket 3s, which could've been beaten in MANY ways...

I picked up a book which may interest you... it's called: "Zen, and the art of Poker". Very good book IMO. It's not a book on how to play poker, absolutely no hand exemples. It's just a book on how to survive those bad beats, and how to get mentally into the game, to get "in the zone", to get in a Zen state with the game... It's written by Larry W. Phillips.

It has really helped me so far.
