hi im new to the forum and i was just wondering how many chips i should use for each player, wat should i value the chips as aswell like, 10,20,50,100 etc thats wat i normally use. bit of a stupid question but just wondering if anyone could help me out a bit wud be useful

First of all what limits are you playing?
At home we play 25/50, 25 being the lowest value.
We have 2 stacks for 25, 1 stack for 50 and 1 stack for 100.
We raise the blinds every 10 minutes. Works brilliantly.

we normally play no limit, i got 4 colours of chips i use redish colour as 10, green 20, blue 50 and white 100 and everyone gets 1500

I like this set up alot. So I take it a 'stack' is 10 chips? And you start with T2000?
Could you also list how the blinds rise?

Well we split the total chips between however many players there are, for a four person game we'd get about 10 to a stack. We want to get another box.
The limits go:
25/50
50/100
75/150
100/200
150/300
200/400
300/600
Usually its 4 people, so with these blinds the games end quick enough that you can play 2 or 3 an evening. Keeps everyone interested if they go out early.
