Hello, recently in my college we have started playing cards but really quite basic games like cheat, stop the bus and pontoon. I think I understand the basi rules of holdem poker and theres another in my college who does how would we go about educating others so we can play it in school. Also we would probably use chips and only be playing for fun.

any idea's do you rekon we should print of a sheet with the best hands on it and sellotape it to the table or something.

I would search google for phrases like:

"Texas Holdem Rules"

and print off a rules sheet as well as a list of all hands, pair, 2 pair, 3 of a kind and the like.

I would also suggest getting a good size starting group, like 6 people, who are prepared to sit down for a couple of hours and get a good grasp of the game. I also suggest that every has a chance to deal as well, shuffling is an important thing to learn.

Hope that helps,

CB

Definitely have a sheet of the best hands available - all beginners will need this to start with.
