I had played a $5.50 SnG and finished 6th (out of the money), so I thought I'd jump into a ring game and try to win back my entry fee.
Find a .05/.10 game with 8 players, nobody had a huge stack, so I jump in with 10 bucks.
I'm down about 60 cents, nothing too bad, playing a bit tight.
I'm in the small blind, dealt K 5 suited.
Two guys limp in, I decide to call the nickel, just because I'm suited, I know it crap, but I'm gonna fold if the flop misses me. But then the big blind raises it up .30, the other two limpers fold. I'm thinking, he's just trying to get my blind, so for 30 cents I make the call.
Flop = K K K
I check, he bets .80 I call.
Turn = 9
I check, he bets $1.10, I wait...request time...call
River = 2
At this point, I'm afraid if I check he may just check, there was a flush possibility, but I'm hoping he hit a boat...so I bet $5 bucks.
He goes all-in, I call and win the pot. He had pocket A's OUCH!!
He didn't say a word, just left the table, and I doubled my money!
Just thought I'd share that one, there's nothing like flopping the nuts! :D
