You have TPWK (WK=Weak Kicker). Either bet it high enough to knock the others out of the pot or be prepared to go to show down. Personally I think make your next bet about 120 and you will take the pot down here. If not then someone out kicked you.

Wow, I didn't think anyone would respond to this...

Ok, I was prepared for 1 caller, but not 2...I was 'shaking in my little space boots', but bet anyway...

*** TURN *** Three of DiamondsFour of ClubsQueen of Diamonds Seven of Clubs
zinn0: bets 200
pac1981: raises 200 to 400
NWO945: calls 400
zinn0: folds

I was almost certain that NWO was chasing Diamond 's, but I had a suspicion that pac1981 either had a better Q or maybe even something off the wall like 56s. There were just too many ways for me to be beat and I didn't really feel like gambling right there.

I hate these situations. You flop top pair, but your kicker is shit. You can check it, but then what do you do when someone else bets into you? You almost have to fold...Anyway, I fold and the river brought another Q which could have spelled big trouble for me but I'll never know because pac1981 took the pot without showdown.

zinno ole buddy. Has it ever occured to you that Q6o is not a good starting hand?... :D . Next time your in the sb and get anything crappy like that just start chanting goosfaba...goodfaba and press the fold button.... Laughing . You'll save yourself a ton of chips that way.... :D

Trust me, I know Q6 is junk. But, in an unraised pot, how can you think you are worse than a 9-1 dog?

I'd just check/fold this one.

No problem with the flop play, but for the turn; it is early in the tourney and I have plenty of chips and since I don't have position why waste money on a potbet. Sure, I might fold the better hand but I couldn't really care less about that at this point.

You have to take effective odds into account. Making your calls based on thinking like this is wrong. It completely neglects the final three streets. If completing the SB put you all-in you'd always be correct to complete the SB.

It's not necessarily wrong or right to complete the SB in the this situation. But completing on the basis that you're getting 9:1 and you're less than a 9:1 dog is wrong.

Check and call a small bet on the flop and go from there. Betting will bloat the pot and make the rest of the hand very difficult to play.

Well, I would actually prefer bet/fold here. It will most likely save even more trouble most of the time.

I was gonna say c/c the flop, then make a small donk bet on the turn. That line will make oppoents come clean at a reasonable price. It's my experience that too much bs takes place on the flop to "find out where you're at".

1st - I'll take any two cards to a flop with 9-1 odds, being the donk that I am.

2nd - I like the flop bet and feel the same way you do ... I hate seeing two callers.

3rd - I'd probably check the turn, regardless of what it is. If it gives me the trips, or two pair, I'd probably check raise. If not, I'm folding to most bets.

3rd point applies to 2 or more callers. With one caller, I'm playing it a bit differently.
