I saw it on GSN today. It was suprisingly good and different rather than tournaments. Its a cash game with players such as Negreanu ( spelling? ), Doyle, Forrest, Greenstein and such. Wondering if anyone else has seen it?
Did you know that participating in a poker forum can help you improve your own game? Be it by sharing experiences or simply asking for help, participation in a forum helps you focus and keep 'on topic' which will help you improve your game. You can learn from other players feedback and from their experiences. Why the THP poker forums? We offer one of the best managed texas holdem poker forums available, and the community within is far more friendly than those typicaly found on other sites. We've made a 'lurkers edition' of the poker forum available here on Holdem Poker Online, but we encourage all visitors to register and join in on the conversations on TexasHoldem-Poker.com

Saw bits and pieces that seemed fairly interesting. Very cool to see the cash game dynamic in place of the usual tournament format.
I look forward to seeing more of it, as I only caught about 3 hands before I had to leave.

What is GSN? I don't think that our cable package includes it. I'd be very interested in seeing a cash game format on TV.

Thanks. I was right, we don't get it. Guess I'll have to change providers.

I was excited for it for a few months, and then I forgot what day it debuted, and missed it (first ep aired on monday, by the way)
I just want to see Hellmuth get torn up, basically.

Dang. I really wanted to see that.

I watched this stuff and I must say I found it much cooler too watch than the more classic tournaments stuff.
Negranau's 'green bombs' of 50k dollar wads which he enjoys throwing onto the table is a nice touch.
And Doyle muscling with half a million bucks ( ) is awesome.
And Sam Farha just fits at a poker table.

Yeah, especially when he brings Lady Luck with him. He plays the worst hands preflop, calls with terrible draws, and gets lucky.
I watched him last night and people were in awe when he would say "I have two pair, 6's & 9's ).
I bet Barry Greenstein didn't like Farha at that table...he took him for almost 200K when his AA were sucked out by Farha's KK.
I did love seeing Sheikan get so pissed, he really is a huge douche.

Nothing wrong with loose preflop play if the implied odds are in place.
And with a bunch of compulsive gamblers and the smallest stack at 200 BBs, I think the condition is met.

I like it because they talk much more and you see things like dealing twice. You still have to remember that this is tv. Just like a tournament on tv they are going to show the most intersesting hands. I dont think i have ever seen Gus Hanson lose a hand with 6,9 but you know he has to.I heard last night Jen Harmon say in the background if they would mind if they added games. That i would like to see. True highest stakes games are usually mixed games. That would be good tv

Heh, did you see Danny-Boy lay down those tens?
And farha, with those kings at the end? Man that was cold

CPT lol luv it ............. , lol commentators are absolute worsttttttttttttt, anyone watch "Poker Night Live"? they analyze online play and such, quite entertaining + somewhat informative at times, although they do use the same sight over and over again while looking at a limited # of players

I've seen the first two episodes so far and it's good to watch. I had seen very little of Ted Forrest up until now but that guy can read people as well as Negreanu at WSOP 2005, very impressive. I'm looking forward to episode 3 with the Sheikh, I really hope Doyle or Daniel tear that arrogant fool a new one and take every chip he has :D

I sat down yesterday to watch the first couple episodes and ended up watching 5 of them! Great viewing!
Forrest is a demon and it's a real shame he wasn't in it more.
Negreanu's play is really impressive, Geno just wait til the later episodes, he's scary good.
Sheiky is an all out wank, i thought maybe it was just a thing between him and Matusow, but seems like every comment out of his mouth is idiocy.
The Farha v Greenstien KK v AA...
You know, i actually think Sammy knew Barry had AA

Who on earth goes all-in for almost 150000$ with A-Js after a relatively tight Johnny Chan re-raises pre-flop? Thats not smart
