Tilted villain and a donky hero

Posted Tue Jan 31, 2006 8:14 am GMT by tame_deuces
Low stakes online 6-max NL.

Villain about 80~BB.
Hero covers.

Villain seems sensible enough, but I think I have tilted him in some hand, so he calls every raise I make when he has position. Bastard even cracked my aces pushing with a pair of ducks and 52o. Luckily he was shortstacked at that time.

Hero is in the co with K Spade T Spade

Folds,Hero raises 4x,Villain calls,Blinds fold

Flop: 9 Diamond 4 Spade K Diamond

Hero checks,Villain checks

Turn: 5 Club

Hero checks, Villain checks

River: 8 Heart

Hero bets 1.5xpot,Villain raises same,Hero calls.

Oh, and yeah. I did it on purpose. :D

Thoughts?

It seems like a very good way to tilt him further. I wonder if you might've gotten more chips from him by betting the turn instead of the river?

Could be, maybe he would have pushed turn, the turn feels safer, a card can still save you I guess. If I had raised the river I think I could have gotten him to push too I think, but I dunno, I wimped out. Smile

I would never have done this play had it not been because he literally called my raises with _any_ two cards, and tp kings versus a random hand is pretty good stuff.

Anyways, he had some junk. Go me.

Now a better ending is:

Villian turns over 7 Diamond 6 Diamond ...

True true, but I suspected he would have bet a draw at any time in the hand.

I could ofcourse be wrong. Smile
