What are the blinds at?
If i'm on the bb with the big stack i could call and gamble with any 2, then again i do like to be the pressure applier, so i may also fold and then push on his bb. of course, if he continues to push back then i will definately push back while he is so short stacked.
I will usually push with any 2 after i have a 5:1 chip lead or better, i'm prepared to gamble at this point and if i lose i'm still a 2:1 fave.

I posted this a while back. It may shed some light on your problem.
Here's something you've appartently been missing:
-If someone is short stacked in the HU portion of an SNG the correct play has nothing to do with whether it's you or your opponent. The key is the size of your effective stack, exactly as it would be in a cash game. If the blinds are 200/400 and you have 1500 you should play exactly as you would if the blinds were 200/400 and your opponent had 1500 (this is an example of the effective stack thing).
-It's also irrelevant how many chips are in play. If you have 99% of the chips and your opponent has 4 big blinds left, you should play exactly as you would if you had 50% of the chips and your opponent had 4 big blinds left. (This is another example of the effective stack thing.)
To answer your question, you should be calling a lot if either one of you has > 3 big blinds. And you should be going all-in even more than you're calling assuming the same effect stack size.

why do i not agree with you, suited.
My range changes depending on how many bb they have left.

Maybe it's because you didn't read my post throughly or you didn't understand what I was saying. I was saying nothing that contradicted this:
