Softest Middle-Limit games in Vegas

Posted Tue Feb 07, 2006 9:41 pm GMT by Phil14312
So, planning my trip to Vegas around whatever poker room rate I can get at one of the bigger casinos on the strip. Me and the lady are splurging a little bit after having saved since last year, so we want to stay at the Wynn, Mirage, Bellagio, MGM Grand, Caeser's Palace (anyone have any info. about their new room), or another big one I'm forgetting.

So with that said, what are the softest 6/12 through 10/20 games in Vegas?

The 10/20 at the Mirage is a rock garden during the day, but it loosens up nicely in the evenings. I wouldn't call it "soft," per se, but there's usually a decent amount of action. The 6/12 is quite the action game there too.

6/12 at Mirage is pretty soft. Decent poker comp rates too-$105 for weekdays and $155 for weekends w/ 6 or 8 hours needed. They average too-so one long session will cover it. Johnnyboy tagged along and they covered both of our play on one room.

For cheap-off strip at Orleans comp rates are $30-50/night for poker players. Nice rooms (so I hear) but need to cab or take free bus to Barbary coast.

I liked the action at Wynn. Plus, $1/hour paid to players. Caesars 6/12 was very beatable too when going.

Mirage is either very tight or very loose depending on the players. Lots of daily retirees that all know eachother and dont play anything.

I like Caesar's, very nice. It will be the first stop next time out. Walled off from the casino noise. Roomy, nice tables, comfortable roller chairs. Top notch.

If you play the daily tourney, make sure you have plenty of time. 40 min rounds. The noon tourney get's a final table seated around 6-7pm!

Mike Matesou and the Sheik seem to like playing there. Saw them playing heads up and with a few other guys for playing for huge bucks.
