I thought about joining in on your fun, but I kinda feel sorry for the guy, he's just trying to get a new forum started and prolly has great ideals about what he wants it to be, only to probably have them crushed.
My advice to him would be to join an established forum like 2+2 and post there ALOT and build up a very good reputation, once he's done that and created a good following, THEN he may be able to open his own forum.

If I was him I’d dump the URL and register a new domain. We’ve already forced him to be mistrustful of new users, which is something he desperately needs. Now he’s going to have to put up with people randomly joining and telling everyone what a d*ck he is.
I know it’s tough when you first start up but the trick is to have something to offer! I could make his site in under an hour and that includes registering the domain and downloading the free open source php forum.

I do actually admin another forum already. It’s a non official work one. However that grew the easiest way, I had the community ready that wanted it and just had to hand out the URL.

It’s tempting but at the moment I don’t want to add anything of value to his site, since there's so little on there already anything positive would increase the signal to noise ratio too much. Basically when I do join and post I expect to be banned soon after just like everyone else.

Just in case anyone didn't know... a big problem with this kinda thing is that if you do it at a forum that actually has any members it turns into a bigger problem (like DOS attacks etc.) real quick. And as per above post didn't we i.e. zinn0 really start it?
I'm not saying this guy doesn't deserve anything he got, although probably any post over there is helping him more than hurting at this point. But let's not go around f-ing up in other forums for the fun of it, it can get very not-fun especially for the mods and admins.

Actually, the mod from the new forum started it by spamming in six different topics here. Thats how we "heard" about his new forum.
But you are right for the potential to cause a flame war. Probably best to let this one die. We have screwed with him enough I think.

I think it could easily be done but that would mean wasting time building an image as a credible poster, adding valuable content etc...
Granted 6 weeks down the line you could then logon at 2am and delete every post on the entire forum, which is a pretty good punch line. But he’d just close your account and restore the DB from a backup so not worth the hassle.

i got a whopping 3 posts made before the crap hit the fan or something. Now the dang site won't let me in and asks me to download a php file...that dang spamming lamer. I think he is watching here to see who posts what on his site...

Just a warning folks. This asshat forum is actually a scam to collect e-mail to sell as a e-mail list. If you see your getting much more spam then normal blame the asshat who runs the forum in the opening post of this thread.
I actually obtained moderator status for this asshat. I had planned on going in and doing some sneaky shit to him but I decided to be better then him and leave it alone. I was bugged by this guy and sent him an e-mail about his spamming ways. My reply was not to favorable and the stupid ass even mentions that he only put the forum up as a way to create and sell e-mail address lists.
I am going to attempt to send a copy of that e-mail to the company hosting his forum. Maybe they will just close this jerk down once and for all.
After his reply e-mail I wish I had posted my account info here and let everyone go in and have some fun.  :x

btw. when you need an email address for something like this use greenslothe.com. It's a throw away email post office. All email is deleted after 10 days. Just make up any name you want and type it in as the email. For example:
soupdog@greenslothe.com
lloric@greenslothe.com
etc

You know the more I think about this the funnier I find it. As some say what a list he got. A whopping 5 addresses? And how many are probably not even legit? I know I used a hotmail account that I keep around for spam.
Soup see if he left my post in the suggestions area when you get a chance. You'll know it. I used a kind manner to tell him off and demand an appology for this forum. Lots of good it did, but the asshats colors truely came out.

We should collate a list (not in public, pm to a mod perhaps) of all the accounts which belong to THP users.
Then I can cross reference it against the complete forum members list and PM/Email everyone who doesn’t already know the site is run by a scammer.
