Live $3/6 Limit cash game at a casino.
Hero is on the SB and in for $1.
Villain just sat down, so no read at all is on the CO.
Hero: K Q
UTG calls, then everyone folds to Villain.
Villain TRIES to make it $10, but dealer informs him he can only make it $6 to go, so this guy obviously does not have a grasp for limit.
Hero calls $5, UTG calls.
FLOP:
4 4 K
Hero checks (probably wrong, intended on C/R. Let me know), UTG checks, Villain TRIES to bet $10. Dealer corrects and he bets $3.
Hero 2 bets, UTG folds, Villain TRIES ONCE AGAIN to raise it to $12. He 3 bets and I call.
Turn: T
Hero bets, Villain 2-bets, Hero calls.
River: 4
Hero checks, Villain bets, Hero calls.
Normally I would like my line of action here, but given villain kept trying to bet and raise more than the limit, it led me to believe from the start that he had a monster. Can I fold this anywhere in this hand?

To be honest, I would mark him as a complete bonehead and would be willing to raise him on the river... maybe a couple times.

I’m assuming you lose to AA.
I’m not a limit player but here’s what I see:
KK is unlikely from the cards that are out already.
4x is unlikely from the preflop action.
AK is a possibility which might scare me into a fold on the Flop or Turn.
Since you were only behind to AA, KK and 4x on the River I would call that bet, I’m sure you had the odds. But with the previous action I don’t think I’d raise.
What about the guys image. Do you think he would raise with KJs preflop? Do you think he would bet a QQ or JJ aggressively with the King overcard on the flop?

You can't really fold flop because you got TPGK, outs for trips and a backdoor flushdraw ,and you can't fold turn because you now have a flushdraw and you can't fold river because you got TP and the boat just counterfeited AK, so you only 'worry' about AA,KK or a dorkily played TT really.
I'm abit curious on the turn bet though, are you blocking for a free card? Villain doesn't sound like someone who would try that or fold his hand for that matter.

Yup, he had the Aces.
Since this was the first hand I have seen him play, I don't know too much about him. The image I developed right away is that he is a NL player (Casino had a 1/2 NL, but was full). I was watching him, and it didn't seem like he really paid much attention to the board, which would indicate Aces typically if it's on the flop (since no matter what's out there, he feels he can beat it). Putting that with the fact that he constantly wanted to bet more than he could, I should have trusted my read and folded.
I guess by the river I was just hoping he had AK and we would chop it, but my odds at that point forced me to call.

What a coincidence. I just posted a related posting on accounting for unlikely nuts. Seehttp://www.texasholdem-poker.com/forum/t15291/accounting-for-unlikely-nuts also in this forum section.
I'd have been really distracted by the guy's bumbling.

I swear I must be half asleep today. Not seeing the tens okay but I completely missed the flush draw!
Home time me thinks.
