Fixed Limit hand.
CO is Vpip 21/AF1.5/Preflop Raise: 8%
iow. Fairly loose for this table, not too aggressive postflop.
MP3 is Vpip 37/AF something low/Preflop raise 10%
iow. Our current donator at the table.
Hero probably has a rocky image, being abit cold-decked at the table for a while.
Table as a whole is your typical limit table filled with greedy scandinavians.
Prima Poker skin
Limit Holdem Ring game
Limit: $0.5/$1

Pre-flop: (10 players) Hero is BB with K A
5 folds, MP3 calls, CO raises, 2 folds, Hero 3-bets, MP3 calls, CO Caps, Hero calls, MP3 calls.
Flop: 5 K A (12.5SB, 3 players)
Hero checks, MP3 checks, CO bets, Hero calls, MP3 folds.
Turn: 7 (7.25BB, 2 players)
Hero checks, CO bets, Hero raises, CO 3-bets
Hero?
Suggestion on how else to play the hand is much appreciated also. I'm uncertain on whether the whole check/raise thing was clever at all.

It's doubtful that he has you beat. I wouldn't worry about him having a set; if he does, oh well. 95%+ you should be good in this situation.

Call down from here. Villian is not very aggro. I don't think he 3-bets your turn c/r with a lot of hands you can beat.
fwiw, I think you played the flop and turn poorly. Just fire away on the flop (either bet or c/r) I'd just bet and 3-bet the flop then call down if he caps. If he's got < AJ he'll usually check behind or bet/fold the turn. If you just bet out he should at least call down.
Maybe he's way worse than I think; in which case your line is okay.

Thanks for the replies all:
Suited: I agree with you about the flop/turn play. At these limits you do get spoiled with people jamming with and having trouble laying down TPGK though, so that is pretty much why I did what I did, I rarely see my opponents folding to a turn c/r if they have top pair. Its the one dent in the armour of the usually fairly tight prima low stakes FL tables. On the other flip of the coin a 3-bet to a turn C/R is very rare without something very good.
On the flop I was also hoping MP3 would tag long if he had a KX or AX, or maybe pick up some crap on turn and call a C/R or a lead.
In retrospect I still prefer leading like you said though, this whole C/R thing screams strength too much and I'm a pretty tight player in FL.
What really surprised me in this hand is that the numbers are really on my side, so I was very puzzled by the 3-bet. Even though KK/AA should be very rare here he did cap preflop and this 3-bet didn't fit villain if he didn't have the goods. I was xpecting either a nasty surprise or a split. As it happened he actually had AT ( ). It was a fairly ridiculous play for him to make, but he still did it. My guess is he must have been steaming from some previous hand and believed I was full of crap, because he wasn't that bad a player.
That being said, my guess is calling actually earned us a couple of extra bets here..but that is a results oriented observation ofc.
This is another one of those nagging hands, where I look at the play I made and wonder if I did the right thing. Thanks for your opinions all.

You see a weak 3 bet (A10 or the like) a fair about at bigger games. Given the preflop action, he wants to represent a big pair. He is hoping you have QQ JJ 10 10 or the like and dont believe he is strong. Your check raise is seen as a steal and he will immediately 3 bet. If you bet call and bet into him on the river, then he will fold.
But, at the lower, lower limit games, 3 and 4 bets can happen w/ top pair and no kicker all the time. Given the action preflop, I give him credit for AA KK or lower set and slow down, but I still expect to be ahead.
