Whatchall think? 5/10 limit

Me K Club K Spade in LP, one raise, I 3 bet, BB calls, other calls. Flop:

J Club 9 Club 3 Diamond Blind bets, other calls, I raise both call.

Turn 4 Club checked to me, I bet, both call

River A Heart checked to me, I check.

Showdown:

Blind 96 for 2nd pair
Other A Heart Q Club -he hits a 2 outer on the river.

He thought it was a decent play w/ overcards and a back door flush draw. I thought he was at, at best, drawing to 3 outs on the flop given the action. I also didnt think that the flush draw was worth a darn with a better and a caller before he acted on the turn w/ the 3rd best club (i had the K).

It had been a friendly game w/ a lot of chatter, very little negative. Another guy thought that the play was fine, I thought it was pretty bad. We left it at that.

Thoughts?

AQ never gets faced will calling two cold. He calls with overcards on the flop, then faces a raise and calls the flop, picks up the flush draw on the turn. I'm sure he check/folds the river no ace no club. Yeah knowing you have KK its bad play. But what if you have TT? You play same way no, then his queen is good as well. Yeah, his play isn't optimal, but it isn't horrible either.

Well, his first flop call is... optimistic... I fold there myself, but it's almost solely because we're whipsawed and can expect Davey to raise here, what, 50-60% of the time? In some weird pseudo-paradox, our hand may well be WORSE if Dave flat calls, since a flat call basically means AK, or a set, with maybe the occasional AQ. If he raises, it becomes more and more likely he's got a pair. Regardless, it's probably not worth continuing with the hand. Even though a pure equity calculation might put us at getting pretty close to the right price to continue, betting of further rounds pretty much always hurts us.

I think he's probably right to call the raise after it comes back to him, though.

Assuming I got to the turn in the same manner as villain, I'm folding approximately zero percent of the time. Assuming I got to the river in that manner, I think a river bet is clearly in order.

I can't say I like the way he played it, but I'd give it a significant number of notches above "awful"
