Hi, Im new to the forum. And new to playing Holdem in a casino setting. I usually just play with friends. I went to a casino here in southern ontario, not Niagara. A smaller one. I was playing 5-10 holdem and a few guys at the table would ask the dealer to flip over a persons hand after everyone else folded except that guy to see if he was bluffing. I dont know if this is common practice so I didnt say anything. But from what I know and the way I play with my friends that a ditched hand is not to be flipped over unless the person who had it shows it. Next time should I say something? Because as far as im concerned bluffing is a part of the game and if every time you are bluffing everyone knows it ruins your chances of bluffing successfully. Any input would be appreciated. thanks.

From what I know and what has been discussed here, if someone calls on the river, then you can request to see their cards. If they fold without calling the last bet, then those hands should remain unexposed.
Was it a uncalled winner's hand that was shown? If so, did he ask that they remain unshown?
