Small tourney expansion

Everyday, or nearly so, I play poker with a small group of friends (4 of us total). We play 2 or 1 dollar tournaments with a set buy in, in which only the final winner takes everything. Usually this translates to an hour to 3 hours of play time for about 4 tournaments and me being richer 10 dollars. In general, I win these tournaments, but it's always a hard way to earn the money. Of course, we always have a weekend game to look forward to with a much larger buy in and a far larger pot to look at, but I'm wondering-

Is there a way to convince my friends to do a larger stake tournament EVERY day? Such as a 5 dollar buy in? (15 dollar profit MINIMUM for the winner, which I guarentee will raise). Is there a way to convince more to join us short of introducing new players?

Just ask. If they can't afford it then thats that. If they can and want to they will. I play tourneys like that all the time. Mostly $10 night tourneys with a few friends. Just for fun.

Getting new people is the best way to do things. What I do is talk about playing real loud when I'm near other kids in school, they hear us and want to get in on the action (gambling is somewhat of an "in" thing around here). Invariably theyre awful and lose right away, so they just bump up the prize money (or the money on the table if its not winner-take-all) and leave with nothing.
