Facelift, breast implant... call it what you like... I downloaded the new Partypoker and everything to the lobby looked good. Unfortunately, I couldn't log into any games.... I emailed support and they'll be helping me out on this one.
Has anyone seen what the new tables look like?

yes I'm playing on them.
They look the same (slight button design change).
They are resizable but I'm not fan of it...even the text is resized like in a picture so u cant read the pot size properly.
The whole stuff uses more resources from the computer, which is lame.
sometimes you have to click 4 times on a button so it registers ur action (buttons to bet, fold,...)
so as usual, PP cant release somethin that is perfect...I wonder what kind of monkeys work in that company

There was a similar post in the online forum section... heavy complaints about having to repeatedly press the button to "make an action." Well, at least you can play... I can't even open up a table.

Damn Dave. That bad huh?

Holy crap...my 10+1 SNG just took 2 hours. That's almost not worth $39.
New tourney structure sucks; timed blinds and 2000 starting chipcount.

I played a couple of $22 1-table SnGs, and there really didn't seem to be much difference. I got heads-up in one, the whole thing lasted about 45 minutes. The other one, I busted out in fifth, and I watched the rest of it. About 40 minutes.
To me, the new ones are the same as the old ones.

I played some $20s and $30s last night, 65 and 75 minutes. It sucks.
Also, everytime I changed the size of a table or relaunched a 2nd table, I got kicked out. So I lost several blinds and missed hands relaunching the software. Maybe it is the Commodore64 (circa 1987) that I am using, but it works fine for porn.
Time to bonuswhore until I find something I like.

yeah i just downloaded the new thingy thing thing... looks pretty slick if you ask me
about the tourneys, they now have timed blinds and 2000 chips...
how do people think that will affect the playing in a SnG? i think it could be interesting...

They have timed SnG levels now? Haha, Bluef0x - kiss my ass

They must be wanting to put more of a skill-factor into it 8)

Dave-
Come over and try BoDog - the players are as weak as I have found anywhere

Dave, I also wanted to suggest Bodog for you, since you said you were gonna do some bonus whoring until you found a spot you liked.
Players there are as bad if not worse than the Party gang. And the SnGs have hand count blind levels.
Downside is that you'll have a tough time finding a cash game sometimes, as there's not nearly the traffic. The SnGs tend to fill up pretty quickly, though. It very well could be right up your alley for an SnG home.
And the bonus clears very easily playing tournaments at the rate of 1/1 for your tourney entry fees. So you'd essentially be playing fee-free tourneys until your bonus clears.

Is it just me or are you guys complaining about having more chips?.... that's a huge edge to the skilled poker player. Yeah, it takes more time... but the plus side is the edge you get. It's less of a gamble then. I gotta play this now.

Maybe. But SNGs have made people playing monkey-like poker hundreds of thousands of dollars. They don't want to see any changes to their current style - why fix something they don't feel is broke?

The big issues among all the 2-plus-2 bot pros:
Their hourly win rate will be cut because each SnG now takes about 10 minutes longer than they used to.
And because there are more chips on the table in relation to the blinds when it gets to heads up, they have to focus on the table and play a little bit of poker now instead of being able to do their preprogrammed pushbotting. That's tough to do when you're multitabling about four or five SnGs at the same time.

Hmmm... that makes sense.
