All you need for two monitors is a video card with a DVI and an AGP output. My video card is a GeForce Ti4200 which means it is over 3 years old and it has the right ports so I expect them all to be like this now. Just make sure you have one of each cable and then install the necessary graphics drivers and Robert's your dad's brother
Edit - Two DVIs also works

he meant analog, not agp output...
btw, PCIExpress is taking over AGP's role...its a different slot on yer mobo, so you may want to look into it....i recommend toms hardware's vga charts for finding the right card for you....then newegg for ordering...

I second that...NewEgg ROX! 8)
If you already have a 2nd Monitor and want a cheap way out, you could do what I did. I already had a nice AGP video card for my one monitor and I went out and spent $20 for a PCI video card. The graphics stink on that card, but it's works great for poker!
The recommended solution would be purchasing a dual VGA output video card, unless your monitor supports DVI.

i cant find a 19" monitor that supports this.
i am basically on a budget here... looking to spend about £200.
not gonna happen is it as i need at least 20.1" or whatever it is... and they start about £299 or so on ebuyer.com
anyone know any different?

Make a note that you need better than a "standard" 19" lcd at 1024x768 to even 2 table with no overlap. 1280x1024 at least gets you that.
Maybe that's not "standard" these days, but it's what my 3 year old 19" gateway brand monitor does.
