Nice hand, but I would fold K4o all day long.

Very nice hand.
He's in the sb and the pot is limped around, nothing really wrong with completing with K4.

Nothing really right with it either. He got lucky and caught some good cards on the board. Do the math and figure how many times K4 will produce winning hands. You'll find your better off mucking it more often then not.

Nice hand. That's what they get for slowplaying Q's.
I had this happen last night in a MTT. Starting chips 1200. 1697 players to start. It's level 2. I have approximately 2850. I was SB with A8o. It limps around to me, so I call. Flop: K K 8. I check. Player to my left bets minimum (30). One caller in front of me, so I call figuring LAG on my left has an A and the other has an 8 also. I can steal this on the turn.
Turn 8.
Well, not what I had in mind. Now I have the b*tch end of the boat. It checks around.
River 8. NICE!
I bet minimum. LAG to my left reraises pot, player behind reraises and I push. LAG to my left had an Ace (just what I had him on) and called and other player had a K (not what I had him on with just a smooth call on the flop and a check on the turn).
After, he said he knew should've raised on the flop instead of trying to bleed us. He also said that he figured I had a K also, thus the call on the river.

Calling preflop getting 9:1 is definitly right.

I have to agree here. K4o is junk, but the odds demanded a call.

Not very often. I agree. However, in this situation, it was the right play (based on the odds) and it hit. Had he missed, he could've folded immediately and been none the worse for wear.

I can and do agree with that resoning Wench and Skribbles. I never looked at the pot odds of it really. I just looked at the implied odds of K4 preflop. My bad.
