We studied people's perceptions of own choices, their outcome and memory in psychology. Nothing mumbojumbo about it. Experimental settings and relying on solid statistics. IF he had it, you might have been convinced you knew that in advance too.

Apart from that.

Of course, if you had the Ten you would have said "You call, its all over baby"

Of course if he calls and the pot is split all that extra money you two put in the pot is raked and you both lose.

You mean a 4, 10, JJ, QQ, KK or AA and you lose.

nobody else said it, so i will.....wut the crap are you doing calling w/ 2 Diamond 3 Diamond preflop at utg+1 w/ 9 ppl at the table?....granted blinds are incredibly tiny compared to stacks, but still...that must've been a pretty passive table to make that justified

of course, i have been known to do some pretty goofy things preflop once in a blue moon when i think ppl have too good of a bead on me...

So can 53o, but that doesn't mean you should go calling raises with it. You actually are VERY lucky he didn't call your bet on this hand, because you would have had to show down that you played one of the worst hands possible out of position and after a raise.

Indeed, they can break you Smile

Seriously though I don’t have anything against suited connectors but low ones are likely to make the idiot end of the straight and in this case the idiot flush (if there is such a thing). Which means most of the time you’ll either make nothing, not get paid off when you hit or lose a lot when you hit but they hit bigger.

They are playable in the right situation. 23, unless from the blinds, isn't playable. You're drawing to a 3 high flush and the ass end of a straight. Dump it.

Jordans lungs are bigger.

My personal experience at theses limits has been that you don’t need to get clever. It is possible to play these hands but it’s an unnecessary risk when the chances are the table has enough players who will pay off you’re made hands.
