I am playing in my first live tourney tomorrow at the trop in AC. It is a 30 dollar rebuy. I have never played a rebuy should I play different because of they rebuy ability?
Did you know that participating in a poker forum can help you improve your own game? Be it by sharing experiences or simply asking for help, participation in a forum helps you focus and keep 'on topic' which will help you improve your game. You can learn from other players feedback and from their experiences. Why the THP poker forums? We offer one of the best managed texas holdem poker forums available, and the community within is far more friendly than those typicaly found on other sites. We've made a 'lurkers edition' of the poker forum available here on Holdem Poker Online, but we encourage all visitors to register and join in on the conversations on TexasHoldem-Poker.com

Decide how many re-buys your willing to put up and base your play on that. If your wanting to put up the money for 3 or 4 then play like a maniac. In other words push with an AX (Q or higher for the X). Push with any PP as well. After the rebuy period is over hopefully you will have a nice chip stack and can set back and play premium hands.

get a good understanding of their rules...i've found that brick and mortar casinos can have some reallly goofy structures as far as rebuys/addons go....sometimes you can 'rebuy' right away, sometimes you can addon right away, sometimes you can only addon at the end of the rebuy period, sometimes there are a limited amount of rebuys, sometimes you can only rebuy at a certain time....
if this is your first live game, i'd recommend not trying anything too fancy or by going crazy and pushing w/ anything early on....unless you've got a lot of money burning in your pocket.....just try to be aware that others will push w/ a little pocket pair....try to set some traps during the rebuy, then after that you can revert back to your totally normal game....
but yeah, definitely set a limit to how many times yer willing to rebuy before you sit down...

i disagree. everyone plays rebuys like that --crazy
which means its the perfect opportunity for you to double up VERY easily, dont push with any 2 cards like most people because you will go broke, just be the one who makes others go broke by playing good hands
be ready to rebuy though, just in case
