Hubby wins.

Posted Sun Feb 26, 2006 10:36 am GMT by QueenofArts
Thank you Zinn0 Smile

It was the pair of 3s that confused me even though I
know it is the best five cards that win....guess I still have a lot
to learn Smile

Posted Mon Feb 27, 2006 1:11 pm GMT by Sid Lambert
yeah, best 5 card hand....3 pairs doesnt mean anything since thats 6 cards....so...

Your hand is actually the board, since a 3 isn't a better kicker than the board's 7....whereas hubby's hand is QQKKA, where his ace is the better kicker, giving him the win

Check out our page on kickers....plus there are some more pages linked off there that should help you

I didn't forget you Miss J! But you must admit the ladies are in a minority around here.

Welcome aboard, be sure to check out the Poker FAQ on this forum at some point to help you with these tricky showdown situations you get into when you are first starting.

Happy posting :D

Hi soup_dog and Geno,

Thank you for the welcome and links! :D

Hi Miss_ J,

Just wanted you to know that I am originally from the
West Coast where “you guys” is the equivalent to the
South’s “y’all” (none gender biases) so with that being
said….. Y’all are great! Happy to be among the minority.

I can see by the postings here this is going to be a fun
place to be. Razz

Whoa, if your handle was QueenofHearts then we would probably have to go see a judge before my wife found out!

Welcome Queen!

Welcome, Queen. Miss J and I need a little more estrogen around here. For some reason, these guys just don't understand when you talk about the new shoes you bought with your winnings. Laughing

Oh yeah, just to give you a little warning. As women, we cannot play poker as well as men, we are uneducated, barefoot, pregnant, obedient and submissive yet sex fiends..........

Well, that's what the guys would prefer anyway. We don't want to burst their collective bubbles so just play along, okay? Wink

Is that something like looking back to see if you were looking back to see if I was looking back to see if you were looking back at me?

Not all of us think this way Wenchy. I would prefer if you weren't pregnant and were educated...but the rest sounds good... Laughing

That's the first thing I buy after I cash out. A new pair of shoes. Whats wrong with that?

Nothing. It's your money.

The irony here is that I was just joking about the shoe thing in trying to stick with stereotypical statements. The last time I cashed out I bought a new 3-wood and ordered our DVR. I really must have been a man in a former life. 8)

No. I was born with everything I have. I don't understand why any man would want to "change" into a woman. Sure we get laid whenever we want and can get a lot from guys by flashing a cute smile or a little cleavage, but everything else that comes along with it sucks.

Sorry, I'm a little grumpy today. I had a rough night last night.

ZING +1 To Supa.... Laughing

Just be careful Supa...you wouldn't want her challenging you to a HU match...if she does make her turn off the webcam... Laughing

Shocked
Strange...I didn't feel a thing.

I had a rough night last night because I went out on the bubble in a live MTT, didn't get home until after 2am, wasn't even drunk and I didn't get laid. Very Mad

Is it any wonder I'm grumpy?

I need a beer and a valium, STAT!
