taking a long break

Posted Wed Mar 01, 2006 8:58 pm GMT by waterman
not that i'm a super poster here or anything, but i frequent this forum almost daily. unfortunately, i'm going to be taking a very long break from poker, as it's become such a part of my life that it's interfered with the one thing i truly love, and that is my girlfriend. i know not many people here are going to care, but i just wanted to say thanks to everyone that's posted a useful thread or a humorous rant or whatever. this forum improved my game immensely, unfortunately it was for the worst and now i'm paying for it in the fact that i don't have a girlfriend anymore. again, thanks to everyone, and maybe some day i'll be back. for now though, i'm concentrating on other things in life that are a little more important to getting things back to where i'm happy again. not looking for sympathy here, just wanted to say thank you to everyone that helped me along the way. take care all.

I think it's good you're stepping away from the game to make sure your life is in order. Keep those prioritie straight and we'll see you when you're ready to come back.

It's good to see you have your priorities straight. I hope things work out for you. I know it's going to be tough. Quitting poker is harder than quitting smoking, I think. If I had to choose between the two, I think the cigarettes would lose. Good luck. I hope things shape up for you soon.

Wise call.

You can always come back to poker too. It doesn’t feel neglected or resentful of your absence after all.
