This one looks like it has more support than the ones in the past. It's also absolutely ridiculous to boot.
I usually like it when somebody at my table refers to poker as a no-skill game, because that means they don't know a thing about it. Therefore, I hope that Rep. Goodlatte sits at my table. They compare poker and blackjack, then make exceptions for horse racing?
The seriously bad part is that the bill would force ISP's to limit access to gaming content. Censorship. Go limit access to things that actually matter if you're going to kick my rights in the balls. How do they plan on enforcing that anyway? I bet the time and effort spent enforcing it would be less than the cost of regulating online gaming.
And although I could yell for hours about why regulating online gaming would be brilliant, this isn't what that's about.
Anyway, Please, for the love of poker, send something to your representative.
Did you know that participating in a poker forum can help you improve your own game? Be it by sharing experiences or simply asking for help, participation in a forum helps you focus and keep 'on topic' which will help you improve your game. You can learn from other players feedback and from their experiences. Why the THP poker forums? We offer one of the best managed texas holdem poker forums available, and the community within is far more friendly than those typicaly found on other sites. We've made a 'lurkers edition' of the poker forum available here on Holdem Poker Online, but we encourage all visitors to register and join in on the conversations on TexasHoldem-Poker.com

I’ve never written to my MP about anything but if they tried to pass this legislature here I would.
Seriously, this idea is awful and the hypocrisy of the exceptions makes me boil with indignation.
Even if they can’t enforce it very well it’s still going to hurt the poker economy by reducing the number of casual players who pump vital fish dollars in at the lower levels In fact I think this will be bad for on-line poker players in every country.
