So I work as a sound editor on movies here in L.A., and my company is now doing some work on this film:

A poker movie directed by Curtis Hanson, who did L.A. Confidential. Check out the cast list, it's got a LOT of cameos of a lot of big poker pros. I'm not working on it, but a friend of mine is, and I've seen a few clips. Just some poker tournament scenes, and I see Dan Harrington and Doyle Brunson playing or walking around in the background. My friend says the plot is more of a character story of this guy and his girlfriend, and the guy's dad is an old pro (Duvall), and of course they've got issues. Don't know when it comes out either, but it's something I figure a lot of people here might be interested in.

Sounds like a really bad porn alias. The flick looks pretty interesting though as long as it doesn't turn into some cheesy love story/bad-boy-goes-good/warm and fuzzy thing. Those make me want to stab myself in the eye with a screwdriver.

My personal version of hell....1 room with a tv that has 1 station with only chick flicks on it 24-7, no alcohol or drugs to dull the pain, no mute button and no remote. Maybe I should repent.

That would be fine with me, as long as the room had a computer with internet access so I could play poker

True hell....1 room with a tv that has 1 station with only Martha Stewart, sitcoms and chick flicks on it 24-7, no alcohol or drugs to dull the pain, ,no mute button and no remote, a gun but no bullets, a computer but No internet connection and the only food is all healthy crap like rice cakes..high fiber and low taste crap.
Now that is truely hell!!!!
