Can We Run This One Twice?

3 times? 4 even?

This hand is going to take me a while to get over, not because it was a terrible beat... It wasn't. I was only a 78% favourite preflop so it's not technically a bad beat.

But, when you've been playing for 5 1/2 hours and you're down to 13 players and 1st place takes $12,5K it's gonna stick with you.

The hand plays out exactly as i wanted it to, i'm on the sb, chip leader is on the bb, i want him to think i'm stealing and to reraise me all in!

But then he hits!

We run this hand 4 times and 3 of them i'm at the final table with over 1 million in chips, cruising towards a top 3 finish.

We run it once and i'm out in 13th!

Goddamnit!

Can't fault your play - anyone who posts below and says "I'd wait for a better spot" or "Don't go against the chip leader late in a tourney" is quite simply wrong Smile

I think it mayyyyyy have been possible to lay down KK in that spot...

But i'm not gonna do it.

Like i said above, if i win that hand I'm cruising to top 3, if i don't play it i'm struggling to reach ft. I don't care that he was chip leader, all that means is that in that spot he's going to be doubling me up at least 3 times out of 4 with any hand other than AA.

No brainer, just a horrible, hateful, hurtful, sickening way to end.

If the cards were face up pre-flop, you'd call every time so there is no need to ever get away from that hand..........

Anyone who would lay down KK right there is an idiot... what better situation comes up than that? Really, for just one big blind, the chip leader took a huge and unnecessary risk.

Better luck next time to you Webby.
