For the “on-line poker is rigged” fans, this was the 5th four of a kind in the space of an hour at that table. I just wish I could have got it to pay off better but I was overwhelmed by the urge to show it :

It's very hard to make 4-of-a-kind pay, especially when you flop it. Can't believe that is your first one though, surely you've had others?!

Nope Geno, that’s my first in 5-6 years and I’ve never had a straight flush either
I agree they’re tough to get value on, normally your only chance is if someone has made a full house. I saw a couple of the other quads rake massive pots because of this and got into a brief chat with one of the losers about how they were right to push with the nut full and just play the odds.
On the flop I was hoping he wasn’t drawing to a flush but on the turn I was praying that he was and that he’d make it

5-6 years?
Man, that's unbelievable. I have them alot compared to you then.
I remember having 3 of them in ten minutes in live play.
I think Q-high paid me off handsomely in the last one too.
I run g00t.

Wow, I've had like 4 or 5 quads, two SF's and one RF just in the last month or so
My favourite:
End of 1 table SnG, I'm in the lead but not by much, button has about 2bb.
I'm in the bb with 8 7
Button goes all-in (doubles the blind), sb calls, I call
Flop: 8 8 6
sb checks, I check.
Turn: 6
sb checks, I check
River:
8
sb checks, I push, sb quickly calls

I have had two 4 of a kind on Poker Stars, and they both paid off for me.
This is my favorite:

Got about as much money out of this guy that I could have I think. I almost doubled up!

Risky all in Dude considering you only had a 9 kicker.
:D

Nice hand, Muck. It's tough to get paid with that board. I can't believe this was your first time to hit quads.
I tripled up in a MTT when I caught quad 8's (I was holding A8s on the button at a really tight table). I could've quadrupled up if I hadn't bumped it up a little preflop when only one player limped in front of me. He ended up folding and would've had a boat, or so he said.

It took me sooo long to work out the “drinking problem” joke, I missed it for years when I watched it as a little kid Awesome movie!

Nice, I didn't get paid off as nicely as you have in the first quads.
I am BB with K 5, family pot of 4 people. Blinds .25/.50. I Check.
Flop comes K K K, Everyone checks till the river. I bet .75 and everyone folds....
...I win a massive $2.75

I am the unluckiest player in the world.... I A-A twice in one hour, the flop first: A-7-A The second: A-A-9 AND IT WAS BOTH IN FREEROLLS!!
Thats what i call a bad beat

heh congrats. I've had plenty of quads and straigh flushes but never a royal flush.
By the way, I got a queen high straight flush to beat a guy with top pair and the ace high flush yesterday and a little later I flopped quads with pocket 8's and 5 hands later flopped quads again with pocket aces....both didn't pay out but damn it was a pretty sight

Wow, Ice. Nice run. I've flopped a J high straight flush and had two players push in front of me. I called naturally, but it was the hubby and my sister's boyfriend and a friendly $10 game for "practice" so I didn't make much.
This, however, was the best hand I've had to date.
Hero: Q J
Villain: A K
Villain preflop raised every time he was on the button to 3XBB. I was in BB and usually folded, but called this time.
Flop:
K A T
I check. Villain bets 1/2 pot, I raise pot, he calls.
Turn:
X (non-consequential but I think it was a 2)
I bet pot. Villain calls.
River:
A
I bet pot again and he pushes. Beautiful!
Best hand I've ever hand and I actually got paid on it.

And you were saying I was risking a lot with my 9 kicker! Hypocrite!

You need to play more.
That I can remember, I had 3 royal flushes and 2 against me (so 5 total) all live. Never had one online (folded one, once).
At least 5-6 straight flushes. I count at least 10 quads right now, so probably more. (The most memorable one being when I held 55, the other guy 66, flop comes 556).
All these, without counting the numerous royals I had while playing Casino Kid on the good'ole NES.
