Hey guys, thanks for the advice although, I didn't see your posts until after I had returned. So here is long and short of it...

Playing at the GoldStrike, they had a $1/$2 NL table...
1st session - I buy in for $200 and get up about $80 bucks. Notice a lot of callers, about 7 or 8 people saw the flop just about every time. Even when someone raised it up pre-flop.

I played for about 3 hours and lost that $80 so I stopped with my original $200...

Day two...
I buy in for $150 and cashed out $625!!!! Played for about 5 hours. A lot of loose players with lots of money. People were calling everything it seemed. I was getting pretty good cards...and took down a couple of big pots and a few smaller ones.

Once, in the BB I had 7 4 off, everyone limped in so I got to see the flop...7 7 4, I checked it first because I didn't want anyone to think that the BB got lucky and hit a 7. One guy raised it up $30 bucks, so everyone folds but me, I call. Turn=10, I bet $15, he raised it up to $30, I call...River = 2, I bet $30 he raised it up to $60. I just called, I probably should have re-raised him everything he had. But it wasn't much.

He had A 7...

Anyway it was a good trip and I would've made a little $$ if I had stayed off the BlackJack tables.

Thanks for the advice...I may try some limit next time.

Well done. You seem to have the discipline to walk away when it isn't your night and take advantage of loose players when it is. Congratulations!

I hope your next experience is as profitable as your first (aside from blackjack I mean).
