Stayed at Bally's this trip. Huge standard room, older furnishings. A perfect room for the not so picky.
Played in 3 tournaments.
The first was at the Aladdin noon $60 buy in. 2000 starting chips, blinds started out at 25-50 and doubled every 15 mins. 44 players. Card dead most of the game only played 4 hands in 2 hours. Very aggressive play by everyone else and compition on the average side.
The other 2 were at the MGM 6pm $125. 2000 starting chips, blinds double every 30 minutes starting at 25-50. Again players average but when it got down to the final 2 tables play was better. Starting fields were 53 and 46 I finished 14 and 12.
Observations- I hated the Aladdin tourney. From the dealers to the players they all just annoyed me.
MGM game was better but I still saw way to many suck outs by bad players way behind in the hand when the flop hit the board.
The 1/2 NL cash games-
Played at Bally's a bit to try and get my room costs down but those tight MF's wouldn't come off with anything except for the $1 an hour comp towards the buffet.....oooooh boy. There was money to be won here though and the locals knew it. Not once did I play here and not have 2-3 grinders sitting at the table making there wages. But there was plenty to go around so no big deal.
Played a little at the Aladdin after the tourney. I'm there 20 minutes and realized there are 5 locals and 1 off duty dealer at my table. Leaving an old guy and lady that smelled of way too much perfume and myself. See ya.....
Played a little at the MGM before the tournaments. Had some very good players at my table both times, but also had couple idiots.
Paris is where I ended up playing the most this trip. Money was here to be had by the hand fulls. Yes there was a couple of strong locals but the fish had very deep pockets and there was plenty of money to be had by all. A bonus was a couple of very pretty lady's were playing at my table most of the nights. I can only guess there husbands make some decent cash because they were practically giving it away.
totals- tournaments -310
cash games 870
Craps -620
BJ -100
Food/"other" -320
That's about as short as I can make this. I'll post some hands in another tread and a few other things I learned this trip.
