here are 2 beats that both gutted me... all within 15 minutes. i dont have the hand history anymore so ill just type it up
both were $10 NL .05/.10 blinds
i got pocket 5s in early position. i limp in
flop comes 4-5-4. two of them diamonds... everyone checks it to me, i check it as well hoping someone holds a 4, everyone after me checks. next card comes 2 of diamonds, im there hoping someones made a flush or a straight.. one guy bets i call, one guy raises and another raises all-in... one folds, i call and another guy calls... showdown, i got the best hand, one dude had a straight with A-3 offsuit and another had a high flush.... river comes.. 6 of diamonds giving the man with the straight a straight flush with the 3 of diamonds in his hand....
then came this beautful one,... courtesy of a man who i had seen call an all in preflop with 10-7, not even a shortstack either
i held 5-6, 3 people in the pot, flop comes 4s-7s-8h, i check guy after me bets small, like 20 cents, one caller, i raise to a dollar, initial bettor re-raises another dollar, other guy folds, i reraise another one hoping hes gonna push all-in but he calls.
turn comes an offsuit rag, i bet big, he raises, i push all-in, he calls. he held 8-10 of spades... and of course, the river was another spade.....
ive never lost 20 dollars so quickly with such beautiful hands.
