I wanted to join a 5$ sng table and accidently chose a 50$ and it filled up right after i clicked so I couldnt unregister...im pretty much just startin on poker and my bankroll was 63$.
I was so nervous and was hoping to squeeze a lucky 3rd place to get in the money. Was patient to not get involved in risky hand and waiting for the time i get something really good but it pretty much never came. I decided to make a move with A-10 suited against 1 of the 2 other low stack. I knew he was on a low pocket pair and decided it was make or break. he did had pocket 9 and neither of us hit anything on the board so he won with his 9s.
Im so pissed because for that amount i coulda played ten 5$ sng. oh well, now i have get lucky and rebuild from 8$. wish me luck

Wow that's terrible. What site were you on that the 50$ sng filled up so quickly? That's why I like how on Stars they have tabs that can sort the buyins for you as Micro, Small, Medium etc.. 8)

Unluck mistake Orcy :
I hate those stomach wrenching moments just after you realise what you’ve done. The amount of times I’ve accidentally gone over one of my save games without think until a second to late.
Pity everyday life doesn’t have an undo option.

Hey guys thx for the response, it was on pokerstars but it was my mistake of not filteting the buy in with the low/micro option but I honestly didnt notice I could do that till later.
ANyway i tried to rebuild my br with a 1$ and two 3$ sng and didnt make money in any of them.
I know Luck play a factor but Im not really sure how good players handle it when your not getting any card or when you do, and you never hit on the flop then desperatly need to 2x up and almost forced to try an all-in with a decent hand(wich of course didnt hit either). IM guessing bad night do happen from time to time but that you can make up overall(when ur good).
oh well, I ordred Harrington book and im not playing again untill i read it

You mean like the horrible cards I've been getting for the last 3-4 months? Try, try again. The cold streaks come and go. You just have to play through.
Tough break on the $50 SNG. I've done something similar, but I accidentally bought into a limit tourney instead of NL (I suck at FL). My first instinct was to just get up and write off that $11. Then I decided, "Well, hell, I'm here and I paid for it, might as well play." I ended up winning the silly thing. Maybe it was because I didn't have a clue or that I didn't really care or I got incredibly lucky.

I've done that exactly 2x (on $5) and won both times :D I have no idea why I don't even want to try it again. It usually takes me until the first hand I actually try to play to realize what happened, "now, where's that slider... ooops"

That was exactly my reaction. "What the? This stupid connection is messing up again. Where's the....ohhhhhh." *light bulb* "Dammit!"

I had a similar experience with a different outcome. I meant to bet $5 at a $7 pot on the flop but hit $25 instead (putting the guy all-in). He called and showed top 2 pair. I had nothing but a gutshot straight draw and bottom pair on the board. It was supposed to be a feeler bet. I caught runner runner to put a 4-flush on the board and take down the pot with my J . Needless to say, I got a lot of action at that table after that hand. Oops!

Being in the wrong tournament... yikes, it happened me twice that I found myself sitting at an Omaha table, instead of the PL I hoped for.
Got some great hands (err.. they looked great)!
What I didn't know was that you only could use two of your holecards.
They took my chips very fast, mumbling something like "come back soon, moron"

I recently accidently played a stud sng and ended up coming 2nd lol :D
In that sng I also had a hand where my first four cards were 5555. I was so excited - even posted it here on the forum lol 8)
