PokerStars Game #4264700411: Tournament #21201736, Hold'em No Limit - Level VIII (200/400) - 2006/03/12 - 16:17:14 (ET)
Table '21201736 1' Seat #4 is the button
Seat 4: Diesel_IA (8405 in chips)
Seat 6: feltqueen (5095 in chips)
Diesel_IA: posts the ante 25
feltqueen: posts the ante 25
Diesel_IA: posts small blind 200
feltqueen: posts big blind 400
*** HOLE CARDS ***
Dealt to Diesel_IA
Diesel_IA: calls 200
feltqueen: checks
*** FLOP ***
feltqueen: checks
Diesel_IA: bets 400
feltqueen: raises 4270 to 4670 and is all-in
I realize I have bottom pair here, but this HUGE overbet just seems like he is trying to buy it now, or is on a draw. I have seen this play a lot when heads up....so do I risk calling here? I would still have 3400 in chips if I lose.

Why bother. I let this one go and use your betting pattern to trap next time.
The best is the people that move all in anytime you bet min, pot or limp heads up. Feed them chips by doing the same thing each time, them smack them when you have a big hand.

Fold it.

Folding = maybe small mistake
Calling and losing = big mistake
Always go with the lesser of two evils.

I dunno.

Pretty easy fold here. Even if he is on a draw, you are barely favored.
Sometimes they could have 2 pair & are trying to protect it or they could have middle or top pair + open ended.
If he has a hand like 10 Q, he has 14 outs! Easy fold.

Easy fold here. Bottom pair is hardly worth risking a good portion of chips on.

Fold, foldity fold fold fold.

Given blinds and stacksizes + your chiplead I think I push this one preflop. Your not in horrible shape versus most calling hands.
But some factors I haven't seen may apply versus this opponent ofcourse.

honestly he probably is pushing with jack-squat but its probably a fold and wait

Villain really doesn't stone cold bluff, but he did put someone all in for about 1400 chips when he had the nut flush draw and hit it.
Anyways.....I put Villain on a drawing hand, and I really had to stop playing because I was supposed to be at a fantasy baseball draft....so I called. Here is the rest:
Diesel_IA: calls 4270
*** TURN ***
*** RIVER ***
*** SHOW DOWN ***
feltqueen: shows (two pair, Nines and Eights)
Diesel_IA: shows (a full house, Sevens full of Nines)
Diesel_IA collected 10190 from pot
*** SUMMARY ***
Total pot 10190 | Rake 0
Board
Seat 4: Diesel_IA (button) (small blind) showed and won (10190) with a full house, Sevens full of Nines
Seat 6: feltqueen (big blind) showed and lost with two pair, Nines and Eights
SO yeah, I pulled a huge suckout when I read his hand wrong. Big mistake on my part. The real problem is not raising this preflop IMO, because K7 is more than likely the favorite preflop. The one time I choose to switch gears a little (which probably isn't preferred heads up), it almost bites me.

What "drawing" hand range did you put him on?

Either a low flush draw or a T or 6.

Aint it funny how people put others on the hand they can beat instead of a hand that they more likely have.

Yikes, I like a raise, but have better faith in my abilities than just pushing with K7.

Dude, well that is all you had to say. Fantasy baseball always comes first!
Did you get anyone good? My draft was last night, 14 teams.

Well, we run a 12 owner KEEPER league, which is interesting in itself. My keepers were about as sick as you can get: A-Rod, D. Ortiz, B. Abreu, M. Prior. My draft hasn't been going well though. Got Jason Schmidt, Jimmy Rollins, and Coco Crisp with my first three rounders. Surprisingly, our draft is STILL going. We have our roster size set at like 26, so it takes a while.

Yah, my draft took 3+ hours last night through Yahoo.
Sounds like you have a pretty good core - especially for a 12 team league. I also got Ortiz. :D
