Total newbie, just started playing 2/4 limit at the local casino. Yesterday I made a royal flush on the river, around my 27th hour of playing overall. Funny enough, I had my worst session ever (-4.5BB/hr over 3.5+ hours) so in the end the T-shirt they gave me was worth $67.00.
That seems pretty quick, do I have you all beat?

T-shirt seems like a minor prize for such a good hand. My local casino (pre-Katrina) has since been washed away, but used to give a nice jacket for a Royal (value around $50 -$60).
I played for a good year fairly regular before I took down the hand..
It is a good feeling grats...

Ha, actually it is a pretty crappy shirt, way too long. 2nd Royal Flush I've seen at the casino I've played at in my mere 31 hours, the other guy hardly won anything on his hand and was given the measly t-shirt too.
Two hours after my royal flush a guy in the same seat flopped a K high straight flush.

When I was playing at the Flamingo they had a daily high hand jackpot that was worth a couple of grand. I just figured all casino's had one. I guess thats not the case?

No, not at ours, though they do have a bad beat jackpot.
I'm pretty sure it was the Flamingo a few years ago where I got an 8c on my last card to fill out my 10 high straight flush playing 7 card stud; it stood up as the second high hand of the night which paid $180.00 US (almost a few grand Canadian  ).

going on over 5 years , still no royal live.
I got a royal flush in play money poker ....... f*ck that , i dont count it 
*edit* i think it was monte carlo in vegas , that gave high hand jackpots. No bad beat jackpots , but just for simply getting a high hand and both your whole cards playing , you won $ Each hand was on its own growing jackpt too , like quad aces was 500$ ,but quad 2's was over 1500$ , straight flush A-5 was the biggest one when i was there year ago. Wonder if they still do that.

Believe it or not I have only had 1 Royal Flush in a live game of poker and I have been playing poker for over 20 years.
Online poker I have already had 2 and only been playing it a little over a year.
Proof at last...online poker IS rigged.....

Never had a royal live. 10 high straight flush is my best live hand. (200 bonus for that in a 3/6 limit game). had 1, maybe 2 royals online though.

To date, I've only had one royal. That was online, but I did get paid really well. I let a buddy of mine play on my account one night and he hit a royal. That was before I'd hit mine so I was a little bent that he got it.
The highest I've gotten in live play was a J-high straight flush and that was in a small game at my house. I did get paid on it too since someone else flopped trips and the other flopped the nut flush. The nut flush (the hubby) pushed on the flop and the other player (my sister's boyfriend) and I just called. The turn paired the board giving him a boat and he pushed. I had them both covered so it was a nice scooper.

i got a royal flush once in a live game heads up with my older brother,.. paid off like 40 cents :x
also twice online.
all in about 2 years or so..

ive been playing for about three years and i had ONE royal flush, with an A  J , didnt really win too much though cause it was a 5 dollar tourney.
Some girl i was playing to the left of flopped a royal flush and i was betting into her with two pair. kinda sucked
