To the limit pros: Is this worth a raise? |

I will admit that I have much to learn as far as Limit Poker is concerned. The question I have for the resident "Limit Pros" is, is my hand, TT, worth a raise with so many limpers in the pot before me? (5 limpers plus the blinds.) If they called the BB, surely they are going to call another BB.
Hand #30429112-1365 at Atlanta ($.50/$1 Hold'em Kill)

I'm not the type who should be giving advice, but yes it is.
1) You have an equity edge over a lot of other hands.
2) You can still "buy" the button.
3) You still want to make any ragged blind hands pay to see a flop.
4) In a passive game, everyone will likely check to you and you can check behind on an unfriendly flop.
5) If you flop a monster, people will be forced to stay with bad draws because the pot is so big.
There's probably a 6), 7) and 8), but I don't know what they are.

Yes, every time. Your equity is simply too big not to raise. Winning an extra bet from each of these guys really adds up when you hit right. Yes, you're going to see a lot of times when the tens have to be mucked, but you're investing only one more small bet to build a giant pot where you're a clear favorite... you'll see what I mean when you flop a set.
