Edit: never mind. I would probably raise the turn if you thought you were good. If you were really that scared of the King you should have folded before.

Well, I don't see the point in the min-raise preflop. But oh well, whatever. The way to play this better, generally, is to put in a raise at some point in the hand, if not the flop, then probably the turn. But of course, deeper-stacked heads-up hands are quite possibly the worst possible for anonymous online analysis, so it's very hard to say.

since u were out of position before the flop, i wouldnt min raise there, there is no purpose, if u want to represent strength, raise it to 200 i would. But honeslty i would have just called the 20 to see a flop, since i dont like playing out of position especially with mid pairs. And i would have bet the at flop to see where i was, a good pot size bet, and if he raises u, i can always dump the hand right there since ur at such an early level. But in this case, ya raising the turn i would have pushed all in, no way he could call u, unless hes got a king.

I agree with those who said raise more pre-flop. Honestly if it was me and I saw that flop I would have raised heavy after the flop. When he fired for 120 I would have made it 400. My thinking is I have a four flush and if nothing else I am making him think I have TPTK or I have 2 pair. Either way that draw was good at that point and a raise like that should have gotten him off that pot..ie the semi bluff....

I dont see the point in calling the raise at all. I reckon you got yourself into trouble here by playing a hand you shouldn't have.

comedybee, have you ever played a heads up match before?

Oh sorry, i only read it very briefly and didn't realise it was heads up, my bad

raise more preflop...not to 200 like nknowless said, that would be ridiculous. 80 - 90 would be more appropriate.
raise the flop...it could at least give you a free card on turn.
I wouldnt call the river, u still had plenty of chips and the opponent had shown strength on every round.

I'm just curious, not knocking the play, but what do you hope to accomplish with a min raise PF? I see people min raise PF all the time and it just drives me crazy. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think it's pointless.

The only thing I can see this play doing is building a little bit of a bigger pot. I don't think it's a good play, personally, but most players aren't going to fold to a minimum raise so you've just doubled the pot preflop.

I am really bad at playing heads up and therefore admit my advice may not be the best in the world.
However, when they re-raise, you need to consider the hands that could beat yours. In this case there's.....................................................................................................................................................well there's??????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????........loads! I mean.......LOADS! Surely this is the time to re-raise big time or fold????
As I said though, I'm rubbish at heads up so i'm sure someone will correct me if i'm wrong.
