Typically Sunday sucks for me playing poker online. For some reason it seems the donks come out of the woods and constantly bust great hands. Anyhow I got up early Sunday morning and logged into Doyles Room. I decided to take it easy till I got good and woke up so I started playing $0.02/$0.04 ring games. I know many people laugh when they see these stakes but play it right and you can walk away with some good dough.
Anyhow, I set down and only bring $1 with me. I never take more then that for some reason and usually never need to. So I am setting playing and within the first 20 minutes I have turned my $1 into $5. I decide I am awake enough and move up to the $0.05/$0.10 tables.
I buyin for min. of $2. I figure if I can't win at least one hand before that $2 is gone then this isn't my table. I notice the guy behind me is pushing people around left and right. Constantly raising and re-raising with iffy hands but winning over-all. I set and watch one hand where table bully got hit pretty hard and it must have thrown him on tilt. He really went on a rampage. He started pusing all in pre-flop on every hand. Finally after his 3rd time doing this I pick up KK. He acts first and does his pre-flop push but this time with only half his stack. I call and the flop comes out Kxx. He bets $2. By this time I had made a decent $5 off of my $2 so I had some betting money. I push all-in for my last $3. He calls and needless to say I double up.
The very next hand I get AA on the button. Bully is still on tilt and has brought in some more cash. He brought in another $15 buyin. When the table gets to him he bets $7. I think for a mili-second and come over the top of him this time and make it $15. He insta-calls and turns over A3o. On the flop comes my 3rd A and his coffin nail. I take down that pot. After that I decided to switch tables.
I played at another $0.05/$0.10 table for about another hour. I made about $5 more in that hour and noticed a few of the fish on my buddy list had signed on. Two of them were at a $0.02/$0.04 table so I decided time to go try to make some more money.
I set down at this 9 person table of $0.02 and $0.04 and everything goes my way. Everytime I get a PP I got a set or full house. Everytime I got suited connectors I got the flush or straight. It went this way for the next 3 hours. I have rapped this table and everyone who plays on it. They seen me playing big hands hard and softly and mixing up my style in every way possible.
Then someone sets down and his very first hand he pushes all-in pre-flop for $5. Needless to say my 72o was not even thinking of trying for a miracle so I fold. He flips over 1010 as he drags his pot of $0.08. I thought to myself what an idiot he was. Two hands later I look down and see AA in EP. I call hoping someone raises and then I will re-raise. Well big bully boy does it. He pushes all in again. I insta-call on his butt so fast my process made a squelch trying to process my call click fast enough. He flops over AKo. My Pocket Rockets hold and take down a heafty pot.
All in all yesterday playing micros only, I was able to cash out $75 and still left myself a decent $70 bankroll. Not a fortune but pretty good money for about 6 hours play and only on micro-tables.

Hey congrats man.... winnings like that are nothing to sneeze at at the low stakes. A good day is a good day, no matter what tables you play at. Keep up the good work. :D

Nice! I love table bullies. They pay well when you have the nuts. :D
Profit is profit. Keep it up!
I have the same problem most Sunday's. I can't get anyone out of the pot and my dominate hand goes down the tubes. I did pretty well this past Sunday though. Mostly playing 2, 3 and 4-table SNG's, but I did play a couple of cash games for about 30 minutes here and there and doubled up both times. Later, my neck was hurting so I took a percocet. I decided that it would be unwise to risk too much cash under its influence, so I played 3 SNG's. Placed 3rd in a 2-table, 2nd in a 3-table and 4th at another 2-table consecutively. Not bad. I wonder if I should take those more often?
I was jonesing to play all day yesterday. I got home, prepped the food for dinner and was getting ready to log on when the hubby walked in and asked if it was okay for the neighbors to come for dinner (he'd already invited them, of course). There was plenty of food, but I knew it meant that I was going to have to wait for my poker fix. So, my neighbor comes over and she and I proceed to empty a few wine bottles I had sitting around. You know, I would hate for that wine to go bad.
The boys are outside doing something with the neighbor's new lawnmower, I'm cooking dinner and she's sort of chatting to keep me company. I'm not the most domesticated woman in the world, but she's asking me tons of questions about herbs and seasoning, etc. I'm answering her questions. That's when I realize I'm drunk as hell and don't have a clue what I'm talking about. I keep answering anyway as she doesn't seem to recognize that I'm totally blowing smoke. I guess I'm a good bluffer after all.
We all eat dinner and I clean up. They hang out for a cigarette then head back to their house. Yes!!! I'm free to play. Whooppeee!!! Bad idea. I'm drunk as hell. I play one SNG and donk out in the first blind level. Don't play drunk. Go to bed. Don't blow your profit from Sunday. These are my thoughts. However, I convince myself that it was just bad luck and play another. I donk out of that one too fairly early. Doh! Finally the voice of reason drowned out the wine buzz and I went to bed.
I hate it when I do that. I also hate when I get on a good run, figure I'm the king of the world (well, queen actually) and decide to put my bankroll on the line at higher limits.
Sorry, didn't mean to hijack your story. I'm hungover though, so try to give me a break.

The Wild World of Wench... . No prob on the highjack...your always welcome in my posts girlie.... .
Stay aways from booze, percoset and poker. They really don't mix and can cost you a fortune.. . I think everyone here will agree with that...

You're insane. I can't stay away from booze or poker. The perc I only take when my spinal injuries act up. I injured my back at 14 playing ball and headbutted a windshield a few years ago; but I won that match. The windshield didn't have a chance against my hard head.
I can play fine with a beer buzz. The wine is deadly though. It sits in the tall grass and waits and then sneaks up on me and strikes before I know what's happening.
Last night was just a mixture of drunkeness and lack of discipline. Lesson learned.
