i never rebuy in these because people make it so easy to triple up or better, but shit like this just pisses me off. i dont understand it?

do you guys play ultra aggressive in rebuys or just double up off the people who rebuy 30x? i dont see any reason to rebuy, thats just me.

Yesterday was my first rebuy tournament online. Had I known it was a rebuy, I would've played much more aggressively.
If you don't like them, don't play them. They're bound to be full of people who will try to double or triple up early with any cards. If they don't, well, hell, they can buy back in. Unless they're on a low bankroll, they're going to play this way.

I don't really like rebuy's but the few I have played I seem to do very well in. Early on I just try and double up a couple times off of the donks and then just play solid poker until the end.

You need to visit twoplustwo.com and read about the maniac rebuy strategy. The people who play these regularly have huge BRs and aren't scared to rebuy until they get to 10k+ in chips. Why? Because the edge of having more chips than the weaker opponents (which also creates a deepstack situation for maniac) make the talent edge even wider.

only reason i aclled is this guy has a habit of pushing with many hands if he thinks my ahnd is no good. i knew i ahd the best hand, and i was getting massive odds to make the call.

Okay here's my take on this hand.
Mistake #1-tsiguy96: calls 600
Just because this guy has shown down with questionable hands doesn't mean you should call with the same. Either reraise big or fold.
Mistake #2-tsiguy96: raises 1200 to 2400
If you're going to raise, kill his odds. A min-raise just sweetens the pot for him. Either push or fold.

also why great players rebuy like crazy is becouse they know that once the rebuy period ends they will be able to get all those chips back, and more chips on your table better your chances to win

Rebuys have had some of the sweetest payouts of any MTT's you will ever see.
I have only played in one, because personally I absolutely hate them.
I managed to get up to 15k in chips on my buy in alone, and unfortunately dumped more than half of it before the first break, which as most people know, essentially means I was drawing dead.
I will say however, on a $3 rebuy with about 2000 people, by the break, the prize pool was up to like $75,000 or some absolutely ridiculous number like that. I personally watched one guy rebuy into the thing over 30 times....
Personally Id rather play roulette.
If you're gonna play them, you are going to have to realize that in the first hour (or however long the rebuy period is), multiple people are going to go all-in with most any 2 cards hoping to double, triple, or quadruple up almost any hand.
I'm not sure how the more expensive rebuys are, but I would atleast hope that they are different at a $30, $50, $100 level...
