Last night MJJ hosted his 1st tournament since his little one was born. Around 40 people $100 buy in on 4 tables in his basement. It ran about 6 hours and went very smoothly.
Even though I donked the end, it turned out pretty good for the night.
Thanks again Mike!

Heads up I raised min preflop w/ K4, he reraised (like he did whenever I raised-I limped, he limped, I raised he reraised) and I moved all in. He called w/ A J . Flop K 4 2 YIPPIE :D :D
Turn 3
River 9
I felt like I made 2 stupid plays in 7 hours of poker, that was a bad one. What really upset me as I was driving home was that it was a $600 difference between 1st and 2nd. He was not a strong player and a little patience and I would have won easy in the next hour. I was tired, bored and wanted it over instead of looking at the big picture ($$$).
All in all, I felt I played good. I didnt have much for cards the entire time and have to do a lot of "creative" play to get to the end.

Dave- what did you think of the blind structure? Too fast, to slow, or about right? 6-7 hours is a long time but w/ 35 people, I thought there had to be time to play before the blinds got too big...
They seemed about right up until I ran int A7 w/ my pockey Aces at the 1/2 way point.

I think it was fine. The only change I might make if things were identical is to start w/ 15k chips instead of 17k.
The major slowdown came at the final table when no one wanted to make a move. Once the bubble was gone, things went good again.
I dont know if I would chance anything.
