Diesel_IA...????!?!?!?!?!?!!??!?!?!?!?!?!
First of all, did I play this hand correctly? I didn't want to chase him away if he had top pair (which he did), so was trying to get some value out of my made flush. Then the river comes which gives him a chance to have a better flush or hit his straight flush, although I didnt put him on that.
What line would you take on the river?

I don't min-raise the flop. Push harder. Also, I think I push the turn.
As for the river, if you really think he has a better flush, check and hope he bets weak anticipating another check raise, and call it down.

I hate min-raises, I really do...but I wanted to get more value out of this hand, and I didn't think he would call much more than that. I just made the mistake of not pushing harder on the turn.

I think it was pretty obvious he was going for the nut flush, maybe with a pair. You really need to push harder to prevent him from getting proper drawing odds.

you didnt want to chase him away, so you let him draw to a potential better flush. you should have thought about that on the flop, and be ready to fold if he does catch if you are going to let him see the next 2 cards cheaply

Well, I know it isn't good to be results oriented, but after seeing his hand at showdown I don't think I was getting him off the hand either way, especially heads up.
*** RIVER ***
Diesel_IA: checks
natehed: bets 700
Diesel_IA: calls 700
*** SHOW DOWN ***
natehed: shows (a flush, Ace high)
Diesel_IA: shows (a flush, Queen high)
natehed collected 2840 from pot
*** SUMMARY ***
Total pot 3540 | Rake 0
Board
Seat 1: natehed (button) (small blind) showed and won (2840) with a flush, Ace high
Seat 2: Diesel_IA (big blind) showed and lost with a flush, Queen high
So, do you think it would have been better to push on the flop? What would have been a proper raise on the flop? It is obvious I should have pushed on the turn here, and normally I would (I will blame it on the fact that I was watching UCLA/Florida )

Though I hate to be results oriented, my instincts tell me he wasn't going anywhere. He'd have had a tough decision to make had you pushed on the turn, but I think he'd still have called. There wasn't a whole lot out there to scare him and he had the nut draw and top pair.
Personally, I'd have raised more on the flop and turn, but given villain's hand, you probably saved money by not doing so.

I agree with Wenchy. While I raise more on the flop, and push the turn, TPTK w/ the nut draw probably isn't going anywhere.
Tough one.
