Did you know that participating in a poker forum can help you improve your own game? Be it by sharing experiences or simply asking for help, participation in a forum helps you focus and keep 'on topic' which will help you improve your game. You can learn from other players feedback and from their experiences. Why the THP poker forums? We offer one of the best managed texas holdem poker forums available, and the community within is far more friendly than those typicaly found on other sites. We've made a 'lurkers edition' of the poker forum available here on Holdem Poker Online, but we encourage all visitors to register and join in on the conversations on TexasHoldem-Poker.com

Ok, there are two major mistakes in this hand.
1. You raised out of position with a naked pair (a big pair with nothing else going for it... you CANNOT play QQ like you can in Hold'em), and NO kind of low. As important as position is in Hold'em, it is doubly so for Omaha.
2. You called on the end with third best low and probably second best high (or a high that's beat anyway). This is a no-no in Omaha! When that third club comes with a low card, you MUST assume you are beat for both high and low. You want to play for the nuts in Omaha, particularly Omaha 8.

*edit*
I'm not an avid omaha player , but my general belief is that multihanded , if theres a flush on board , its strongly possible someone has made it if theres any action.
I can't really comment on how you played your high , it would be tricky to the less powerful omaha player ( if i was in your situation , i probably would have thought my str8 was good too ) , but yea its very likly your low is beat. So if your high is in any way in jeapordy , and your low is not VERY powerful , you probably want to fold. Or at least not call an all in on the river , maybe call a smaller bet but not all of your chips with players left to act.

Um, A8 would not beta his 36 for low.
Lows are ranked by their highest card first, so 65432 beats 8754A.

Don't feel badly, huskie. I am too.
I opted out of the rotational cash game last night, but I'm going to have to get some practice in prior to the tournament this Sunday. The more I play this game, the more I realize how badly I suck at it.
