I'm proud so I'm going to brag

Posted Wed Apr 05, 2006 8:55 am GMT by BeerWench13
No, I'm not bragging on myself. I'm bragging on the hubby. About 2 months ago, he started with a bankroll of $45 (live play only). As of last night (actually very early this morning), he surpassed the $1k mark. He has been unstoppable in MTT's, HUT's and cash games including NLHE and O8. I'm so proud. The tournaments have been random, consisting of 2-4 a month and the cash games are usually after those tourneys. The exception was last night which was the first night of what is now going to be a weekly cash game.

My bankroll has slowly crept recently, but he's been kicking ass in every game. The guys (and one female other than myself) that he has been playing are nothing to sneeze at either. Some are gamblers, some are TAG, some are LAG, but, in all, they're all pretty solid players and play the game well.

I hope I'm not cursing him by posting, but I figured you guys would be able to appreciate his accomplishment. I figure if he keeps up this pace, we should be in AC by May. :D

Better than most native English speakers could do Razz

Well done Beerhubby, that's a great milestone to reach, is he going to be playing higher limits now or continuing in same games?

Continuing in the same games more than likely. We mostly play $1/2 NLHE and $1/2PLO8. The tournament buy-ins vary depending on which group we're playing.

I've been trying to steal it myself, but with no luck so far. He started on his hot streak about 3 months into my downswing. I have to admit a small amount of jealousy for the last few months. I'm still proud of him, but dammit, can't it be me?

Will do, Scan. And Webby's right. You said that better than most people whose native language is English.

Dammit, supa, you promised to keep that a secret. We're through!!

Thanks for welcoming him Johny.

Thanks for the warm welcome. Just FYI to everyone my typing is terrible as well as my english.

Yes, I have been on a good run. Yes I can finally say I have a "bankroll"

It has been a long roller coaster for me. I was on a 3-4 month bad run for a while and things have shifted the last few months so I hope they continue in this direction. The one thing that has changed over the last few months is the buy-in for the game. Have been playing the same game for years but at a lower buy-in. I was playing buy-ins around $25 and sometimes $50 for years and then started playing in this $100 buy cash game. I don't know if this has anything to do with it or just timing but I am not complaining. Talk to you guys later.
