Anyone made their own table yet? |

Has anyone made their own poker table yet. Finding a ton of sites around the web on "How To".
If anyone has done it, would like to know the time involved and whether or not you would do it again. We have a two table tournament (dining table covered and bought a table at academy). I would like to build one with racetrack and nice speed felt, etc, but am weighing whether or not it is worth the time/money investment.
Did you know that participating in a poker forum can help you improve your own game? Be it by sharing experiences or simply asking for help, participation in a forum helps you focus and keep 'on topic' which will help you improve your game. You can learn from other players feedback and from their experiences. Why the THP poker forums? We offer one of the best managed texas holdem poker forums available, and the community within is far more friendly than those typicaly found on other sites. We've made a 'lurkers edition' of the poker forum available here on Holdem Poker Online, but we encourage all visitors to register and join in on the conversations on TexasHoldem-Poker.com

Check out the "Cards, Chips, Tables" forum at this site. There are some useful resources located there 8)

Also, homepokertourney.com has some good table plans and how-to's.

It’s on my list of things to do in the next couple of years. First I need to buy a house to put it in.

You know you would sound like an insanely much cooler person if you needed a house because you have a pokertable to put in it, right?

I don't think I could take being any cooler 8)
If it makes you feel any better though I can refer to my house as my hundred grand poker table cover

It is worth every penny and every minute you spend on it. I used Junell's plans (google for Junell's Poker Table), and it took me and a buddy a total of about 16 hours to build. If you have someone to help you and have the proper tools, it doesnt take long at all.

Thanks for input. I apologize for posting here, as I had overlooked the other area on the site. Did not see the table part, thought that was just chips and stuff.
Had actually come across the Junell's plans in my research. Been a member of this forum for a while and post on occasion. I have found everyone to be very helpful when it comes to giving out information.
Thanks again. Hopefully, I will post soon on the other site with pics of a home built table.

Definately keep us posted if you do. I would like to make a table at some point, but I don't know if I trust my construction skills

I wouldn't mind the attempt either. My only issue is where to store it when we're not playing. I don't have enough space right now to have one that doesn't fold up or break down. I'd still like to make on though. Power tools are fun! :D

Most of the ones I've seen plans for include a way to install hooks on the bottom for wall hanging. They pretty much hang flat against the wall. That is in addition to the legs foling up.

Hmmmmm. I don't really have any wall space either, but I'm sure I could move some things around to accomdate that. Might have to look into it after all. Thanks for info, Tx.
