I finally did it, I won my first MTT! I finished first in a $30+3 DeepStacks tourney on PokerStars.
PokerStars Tournament #22780680, No Limit Hold'em
Buy-In: $30.00/$3.00
523 players
Total Prize Pool: $15690.00
Tournament started - 2006/04/15 - 18:15:00 (ET)
Dear Johny4455,
You finished the tournament in 1st place.
A $2591 award has been credited to your Real Money account.
You earned 567.32 tournament leader points in this tournament.
Congratulations!
Thank you for participating.
When we got to 3 handed we were almost even in chips, so we agreed on a 3 way even chop.
Well I'm too excited/tired to talk about the final table, I do so sometime tomorrow. The tournament lasted over 10 hours.

Well to tell you the truth I think I had a small edge on then, but it came down to the fact that I was exausted. We'd been playing for over 10 hours and I was actually shaking/ twitching because I was so tired.
chip counts with the blinds at 8000/16000:
Player A: 930 000
Me: 870 000
Player B: 820 000
Payouts:
1. 4000
2. 2350
3. 1500
We were pretty much even in chips and by splitting it 3 ways I was guaranteed more than second place money.
Does anyone think this was a bad deal?

I probably would have done the same thing, Johny. 10 hours straight is a long time to be sitting in front of a computer.
Well done.

I have only not dealt twice, once at 3 ppl, i finished 3rd and another time we got HU and didnt deal, i finished 2nd for $6k he took down $10k
Deals by chipstack always favour the chipleader, he is getting a false position based on the presumption that his lead will hold, I like to deal when chipleader and will play on from behind if i dont get a good enough deal.

Do you think the deal was bad though?
Posted Sun Apr 16, 2006 11:19 am GMT by wEbMaStEr
No, not a bad deal at all, you are close enough in chips that i would have gone for an even 3-way split.
There are several things to be taken into account here, blinds are very small compared to stacks, there is a lot of play to go, anything could still happen.
You've been playing for 10 hours already.
You could finish 3rd.
I feel that deals offered should not necasserilly be taken, if the deal works for you at that time (and let's face it, $1k more gtd works for most of us ) then take it. If not, don't.
If i was in that situation i would have taken the deal and be happy

I had no problems with the deal and thought it was the way to go. I just wanted to make sure, thanks.

He promised to take me out to dinner.

Very well played and I think it's a good deal given that you netted more than the 2nd place prize

I have no idea, I think I'm going to withdraw it and sit on it for a while. There isn't much that I want really. I'm sure I'll find something though, probably small.
I would have liked to keep it as my bankroll, but my parents didn't want me to. So I guess it's back to $5 SnGs.
That's fine with me though, there's plenty of time to move up in stakes.
Zinn, we're still on for dinner tonight. Don't tell your wife about this.

Well done Supa, I watched the final table too, but there's no observer chat. They sure were giving you a hard time. Was it just me or were they making some horrible plays just to show you a bluff/ great call?
Once again, great job.

You have to rail my MTTs more often now, the two times you have I've done well.
Thanks for the support, I really appreciate it.

Yeah a couple times the guy directly to my right bluffed huge just to show off. Funnily enough I think i pushed him around with crud by far the most, the other guy was too aggrr to really make moves on =(

Nice job Supa. $900 is nothing to sneeze at. Unless its me in which case I use $900 bills to wipe myself. Or you're Canadian, isn't 900 American = 1,000,000 Canadian or something?

Yeah it's only my second +200 person MTT Win. A bunch of cashes, though. The money is nice enough, considering I was just playing these babies to "practice" for future big ones. I'm a luckbox, though... so.. =)
Lets see how many more cashes i can get before this streak ends...

Nice job, Johny!! I actually watched you in this for 1 or 2 minutes Saturday when I found you for my buddy list, but I didn't have time to stay. Incredible work, making it to the end after 10 hours , and absolutely a good deal. Any final table stories?
Congrats to supa as well!

Way to go, Johny!! It's nice to see you finally take one down. You've been so close on so many others, I had a feeling it wouldn't be too long.
Nice one, supa!! Ride the rush as long as you have it, hon. So, whatcha buyin' me?
