This has to be the funniest thing ever to happen to me on the subject of poker. My mother thinks I have a "gambling addiction" because I play poker. Which is rediculous. If I was on a baseball team, she wouldn't say I had a baseball addiction but suddenly because it involves a little money, it's an addiction. Anyway, me and my friend (known around these parts as leafsfan) were sitting listening to her lecture us about how we have gambling addictions and this is a little snippet of the conversation:
Her: You know why our house burned down? (There was a kitchen fire in my house about month ago)
Me (laughing): Because I play poker?
Her: Yes!
(Me and leafsfan burst into laughter)
I love how she tries to make poker a scapegoat for everything. Ironically, it wasn't until I showed her my final table that she decided to have a sudden objection to me playing poker.

You know, that's a very good question. I hate spelling things incorrectly and I always spell that word incorrectly and never catch it. Plus it was really late when I made that post.
