Last week I won a 15 + 1 double shoot out to qualify for the $615 + 35 WSOP qualifer today. WOOOHOO
Tourney starts at 6pm.
I'm driving home around 5 and think to myself, uh-oh, what if it was ET, not PST.
I log on to Stars, AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!
I could have killed myself.
I wanted to break things, I wanted to cry. I was so mad at myself.
I missed the tourney.
I can't believe I did this. Had a chance to qualify and I missed the tourney.
*sigh*
Hopefully I can get back. I emailed support@pokerstars.net asking for, pleading for an entry into next Sunday. Phat Chance of that.
Dumb dumb dumb dumb dumb.
I never thought even thought about the time zone until it was too late.
wow, won't make that mistake again.
anyway, just venting, looking for some sympathy or laughter, either way, its news in and of itself. At least I won the pre-qualifer. Something to be said for that.
Did you know that participating in a poker forum can help you improve your own game? Be it by sharing experiences or simply asking for help, participation in a forum helps you focus and keep 'on topic' which will help you improve your game. You can learn from other players feedback and from their experiences. Why the THP poker forums? We offer one of the best managed texas holdem poker forums available, and the community within is far more friendly than those typicaly found on other sites. We've made a 'lurkers edition' of the poker forum available here on Holdem Poker Online, but we encourage all visitors to register and join in on the conversations on TexasHoldem-Poker.com

Optimist
Then you’ve gained something from it and in the log run it might save you a little money to offset this lose.

You won a 41 to 1 satellite entry and didn't check the time? Shame on you.

If you arent smart enough to check the times, you are just dead money anyway.
IMO, you just saved yourself a lot of time.

That's tough, you must feel horrible.
You made a mistake, we all do.

Don't feel bad because your not the first person to do this and won't be the last. My advice is to pay special attention to time zones in the future. That is why I stay away from qualifiers and satalites into other tournaments. Most all of the main tournaments start at like 1 am for me.

Try to convince yourself that you would have lost anyway
Sorry man, that sucks.

I like the combonations of "you're an idiot" and sympathy.
I won't make that mistake again.
Live and learn.
I think this guy feels worse.
