hey gents, hope you all had a merry easter.
On the boss poker network i entered a satelite to the online final of "scottish poker championships" for $35, about 180 runner and top 18 got a seat..... i made the top 18 so on sunday night i was in the online final.... things were not going well; i had about 5X the blinds, there was about 40 people left and i had KK in the SB, it was folded round to me... the BB had less chips than I so i decided to try and make him push, i limp into him, he pushes i call he flips over A6 flop A thats me down to 3X the blind with the levels going up in 3 mins.... only top 15 get a seat in this one... i wait a few hands and then i am in mid position with 99 - a great hand when im this short stacked, but UTG has limped, he never evn plays a fekcking hand in position never mind UTG, i opt to limp (not great short stack strategy eh, my trips equity isnt very high) sum1 in late raises UTG goes all in i pass and im v proud that I didnt just push with 99, they both have JJ and yep.. i wudda rivered the 9! after that I go all in all in allin with a variety of trash in late position and luckily nobody calls me down, then i realise there is only24 people left, i could actually do this. i make some couragous steals in late with rag A's and eventually we are down to 3 tables, and im in the top 10. eventually the hangers on die and i get a seat for the edinburgh maybury event in july. Very proud moment, i was short stacked all the way and did not get the rub of the green.

i will be on tv this saturday night on the poker channel 425, user name " aelredx" in the online series of pokerheaven.com
I came 3rd in the televised event - made apretty fundamental mistake 3 way, dissapointed with myself... and I am in the final for the WPT paris seat that goes ahead on monday night, which will also be televised on the poker channel. Watch this space, failed student come poker pro in the offing

made the final table of the WPT satellite last night that will also be televised on the pokerchannel, was about 3rd in chips and got AA, finally a real hand that i dont have to try and steal with i min raise in ep, lp re raises all in i call he has 10 10 . flop J J 7 K river.................... 10
pretty nasty seeing as first place gets the only seat i had been playing my best poker ever. but eh eh eh this is why every good players isnt a pro, cos even when u have an ideal situation u still lose a fair amount of the time.
