Did you know that participating in a poker forum can help you improve your own game? Be it by sharing experiences or simply asking for help, participation in a forum helps you focus and keep 'on topic' which will help you improve your game. You can learn from other players feedback and from their experiences. Why the THP poker forums? We offer one of the best managed texas holdem poker forums available, and the community within is far more friendly than those typicaly found on other sites. We've made a 'lurkers edition' of the poker forum available here on Holdem Poker Online, but we encourage all visitors to register and join in on the conversations on TexasHoldem-Poker.com

eek , I worked at subway for 2 months. Right now I am sort of a telemarketer ( i don't call completly random peole though , just clientele ) ....coincidence?!
p.s. thanks , books are great so far , I'm just sad 3 hours might not be enough to get in all the reading i want to do tonight.

That means you´ll have enough reading for tomorrow and for many more days to come. Which exactly books did you buy? Do you feel like writing a short review after you are done with them?

I've read the first say 30 pages in depth. skimmed over the rest - really its biggest help as been reinforcing things I allready know and remembering not to get fancy VS simple opponents. Most of the info has yet to prove earth breaking to me , but i havent read the whole book.
One interesting thing it pointed out to me that I hadn't relized in depth - pot equity. Was a facinating concept to relize that If im 30% to win a pot off the flop and there are 5 people in , I've got no reason not to raise. IE im getting 30% of all money being put into the pot ...interesting I would typically be happy pot odds say I can call and make money.

theory of poker by David Sklansky was the first book that I got to read when I decided to learn what the word "poker" means. Well, can´t say there was something I understood in it. How did you find it?
