Starting 4/26
All on Doyles Room
Five $5 +$0.50 1x1 Heads up: Five First places
Seven $10 + $1 1x1 Heads up: Five First places, lost last two
Three $20 +$1 or 2 (not positive) 1x1 Heads up: One win, knocked out other two on first hand with AK and AA respectively.
Five $5 9-man STT: 1 first place, 2 Second place, 1 Third place, 1 9th place
One $20 Extended 9-man STT: 1 third place
Three $10 9-man STT: 1 Third place, 1 Second place, 1 7th or 8th place.
$1000 Guaranteed MTT Speed (3 Min Rounds) Freeroll: 200 entrants, knocked out 22nd place with 3rd highest chips to the chip leader when AA got cracked by a KQ flush
$2500 Guaranteed MTT: 450ish entrants. knocked out in 47th place when AK lost to A7.
All the heads up games (with the exception of the $20) were played on a speed table. Where blinds increase every 3 minutes. I will not play this on the 9-man STT, but for heads up, it really isn't terrible. The turbo (1 min rounds) are out of questin though.
I do very well on the STT's, and almost always cash. I think the thing that hurts me is playing the Heads-up matches for hours, and then subconsciously bringing my Heads-up mentality to the early stages of the STT's.
I could play $5 1x1's all day and just destroy the competition, but I enjoy the 9-man's better.
Still not having too much luck with the MTT's. I will ALWAYS do well, and get knocked out before or after the first break on the bubble. This may be just because DR's blind structure for MTT's is pretty crappy, or it may be that I simply cannot play MTT's to save my life.
All-in-all it was a pretty good day.

Back to stars...
I needed to improve the MTT game, so really there was no other choice then to go to stars again.
I lost a few of the $20 180 man tournaments and than signed up for the $4 180 man MTT (which as of yesterday seem to have disappeared). I pretty much decided that I would play Harringtonesque hold em all the way to the bubble (which many people would argue simply cannot work online where blinds go up so quickly) and than turn on the aggression if and when I got to the final table.
I wound up having a very very large stack going to the final table and busted out 3rd due to, as always, stupidity on my part. It was worth something like $70, which was definately nice, but I would have much rather had the ~250ish first prize.
I than entered a deep stack tournament on stars on Sunday morning i believe. This was only my first or second experience on a deep stack tourney and I think I did pretty bad. I managed to double my chips within a half hour but than got seated directly after the chip leader who had 70k chips to my 8 or 9k. I busted.
Entered another $20 180 man MTT on stars and had my heart broken. I got nearly busted very early when I held AJ, a flop came up 9JJ and lost to a flopped 9's full. I was down to having 40 chips which at the time was 2 BB's when I decided I would push the first suited low cards I saw in late position hoping anyone else involved in a pot was battling with their face cards and I would get a favorable flop. Did this and won a pot of around 240ish. I then decided to push the next Ax I saw, which of course turned out to be A2 and ran into A9. A lucky flop for me saw A22 and the pot was mine. I was back into the game and wound up building my chips up to around 20k with 20ish players remaining. I was just above the average and pushed my chips at the worst possible time and ran into quads. Busted out right on the bubble.
Played some 1/2 PL after that and before the night was over entered one more 2 table $10 SNG and wound up taking first.
Funny thing is now I'm starting to suck at the STT's and get marginally better at the MTT's. The crappy thing is, I'm starting to play the STT's as MTT's so I'm not playing ITM consistently anymore and on the flip side my MTT game is not good enough YET to really make the consistent ITM finishes that I used to on STT's.
My game confuses the hell out of me

Tuesday:
Was not the best day in the world that's for sure...
Started out Multi-Tabling two .50/1 NL 9 seaters and wound up building a stack of 163 and 129 respectively. Had to go back to work after that.
Came home and multi tabled 2 .50/1 NL games and 1 .50/1 PL game. Played tight agressive as always. Overall, came away about -$20 after a hour session or so. my stack on the PL and first NL table was respectable and I did not have to reload. Reloaded about 40 total into the third NL table where it just seemed that nothing was hitting. AK AQ or AJ were not getting any flops. KK got cracked twice by crappy aces, and I was not hitting any of low sets. Wound up taking a big hit when AK lost on a flop of AKx and villain was holding xx for a small set. Shoulda seen it coming.
STT's and MTT's were nothing but a disaster for me. I don't think I cashed once all day. Played another 180 SNG on stars and again got thrown out on the bubble.
Been playing below my bankroll really, so I went back to the 3/6 NL ring games I was so used to in the past. I was in for a suprise. I have been multi tabling low stake NL games for the past week and playing tons of SnG's and I forgot how loose aggressive people are on these things. Sat tight with the max buy-in and pushed cards very hard. doubled my buy-in in about 20 mins and decided I would actually get some sleep that night.
Wish me better luck today!

Wednesday saw lots of Party Poker.
Played 3 $11 STT's simultaneously. 2 first places and a third place. Next three saw one third place and no ITM finishes.
Hit up the PL tables and make a considerable profit. Would have been much more had I not taken a bad beat that left me scratching my head. I posted about it in the bad beat forum but essentially
Me: Q Q -Pushing hard to the river betting the pot
Villain: 9 10 -calling huge bets with middle pair
Board: J 9 blank
Turn: blank
I Put him all in and....
River: 10
For a pot of over $200
___________
Played the $40,000 Guaranteed and played literally 3 hands. Sat tight with extreme discipline for almost a half hour when villain with KK puts me all in with AA. He catches runner runner quads on the turn and river and I'm down to 500 chips or so.
Few hands Later I get busted by a 3 outer on the river.
Going to probably multi table $200 PL games tonight. The competition is just way too soft to pass up.

Tuesday -
Not anything huge. I haven't been playing THAT much lately, but got a few games in here and there. Here are some quick notes from Sunday and Mondays games.
-Won a 12 person short handed SNG on stars. $12ish buyin
-Won a $10 45-person mtt on stars as well. I actually predicted the final 3 people early on.
-Finished just out of the money on a 18 person short handed SNG when I took too consecutive beats that crippled my stack.
-11th place ( ) on a $50 90-person mtt
-Won a $20 2-table on stars
-Three 2nd place finishes on $10 STT's
-Bubbled out on almost every 180 man except for one $20 where I placed 6th

Yesterday was quite the odd day.
I placed First in a $10 2-table SNG, 2nd on a short handed $10, 3-table 18 person SNG. And bubbled out on 3 others that I had entered.
Bought into a 3/6 NL ring game after that. There were two people. One, who was sitting on a stack of about $900 and another guy who I genuinely felt bad for, who raised every hand, went all in on every flop he got any piece of, and must have reloaded 7 times, in the 25 minutes I was sitting.
One memorable hand saw me on a stack of $500, and villain on a stack of ~$550ish.
I am dealt J 8 in the BB. By no means am I sitting on a monster. The button folds and the SB (the sorry sap I spoke of before) makes it $18. I call and the flop comes
J 8 8
The SB bets immediately moves all in for over $500. I figured the chances of him holding JJ were very unlikely, and he was more likely betting into me with AJ, if anything at all.
I called, and doubled up to ~$1k.
Played a bit more and went to bed. Going to play some more 3 and 4 table SNG's tonight. Got a bit frustrated with them, and some of the moronic beats I took last night and had to take a break.
