Well, I sat down at NL; and I'm one of those guys who see's J2 all day at the 1/2nl tables at the casino. I feel all giddy inside when i see QJ, and end up folding it preflop.
So my first hand yesterday is obviously aces after guaranteeing my friend I wouldn't get them once. I raised to 15 from mid position (I posted) and got 0 calls. I then went on to get AK, and I think even Kings all within my first 15-20 minutes of play. I ended up getting aces four times over like a 4 - 5 hour span (and I had gotten them an average of 1/5 times going to the casino before.) I got Kings twice, AK twice, and AQ/AJ/A10 suited numerous times. My aces got no callers preflop twice; my Kings got cracked my someones ace 6 all in preflop and my AK lost to someones KJ all in preflop.
I left 200 up (I doubled up in my 2nd last hand (my aces vs someones king)), overall I feel I got the best ever cards I have seen, and couldn't turn a big profit due to my table being very passive, especially preflop.
I'm not complaining though, 200 profit is much better than losing 150.
EDIT: I forgot to mention this guy who commented on my play after I beat him. I have KQ and its raised to like 10 preflop and its me, someone else and the raiser (who is of course the button.) This guy had been button raising all day. The flop comes A 10 2, two diamonds. I have a gutshot to a jack, so I check and the button raises 10 again. I felt he hadn't hit anything so probably even if I hit a pair I would be good. So I called, and hit a jack on the turn. Now I have the nuts straight and I check again and he bets 25, I know he doesn't have the diamonds but now that I have my straight I want it to look like I'm chasing that flush draw to the river. So I'm praying no diamond comes (because I know he thinks I have a flush draw) and of course I diamond does come, and I come out with a 25 dollar bet and he folds and makes a little a**hole comment about me chasing flush draws to the river. So I show him my straight and tell him "nice read." He then starts badgering me about chasing my gutshot (this is one of those guys who thinks hes better than everyone.) So I asked him why he would bet 10 dollars into that pot hoping to scare off draws. He had no answer.
