This isn't mine, just found it browsing through this site. Is this not the most brutal hand you've ever seen?

lol; when I'm playing at the casino I'm hoping my quads get beat because I like winning that big bad beat bonus.

Ouch.
Similar situation happened to a friend of mine was playing in a tournament night before last. About midway through he gets K Q . Flop is 9JJ with 2 hearts (one being a jack), my friend calls a small bet to get to the turn. So he's got a 4 flush and a gutshot straight flush draw. Heads up on the turn, and it's is a 3rd jack. The guy checks to my friend and he takes a free card. River...10:heart:. All the money goes into the middle and the other guy flips up a J for quads.
Slowplayed his trips and then his quads and it cost him his tournament.

It seems to me that he wasn't really slowplaying them. He made a huge C/R on the turn, and a pretty nice size bet on the river.
Are you suggesting betting the flop? That would completely kill any action if you ask me.

Glad you specified that. I figured they were two black jacks.

Haha, ok I guess that was a little redundant.

For some reason, I'm pretty sure that guy's reply wasn't: "Oh well, that's poker..."

lol. Wouldn't be surprised if he beat the crap out of his computer seconds after that. What a beat. That is like...THE beat. Can anyone top it? He played it fine too. Theres no way that you're suppose to bet the flop in fear of the opposition going runner runner royal flush.

SNG on Party about 2 years ago (From memory, no hand history)
I get A A on the 1st hand of the tourney in late position and make it 200 to go (800 chips per guy 10/20 blinds)
2 callers, flop comes A A J
I bet 200, one guy folds, other guy puts me all in- I call
He has K , J ...
Turn Q
River 10
I lose w/ quad A's to runner runner Royal #%$@!
He says something like 'you shouldn't have called me..."
Only $20 I guess

He has J , and there's J on the flop?
Posted Thu May 04, 2006 3:54 pm GMT by MJJ
oops, his J was another suit <edited now>
He called w/ the J and a K kicker (and 3 to str8/fl/str9 fl)

I posted this in the Bad Beats section but I've copied it here because I think it's even worse than the hand described by Cricket_Fire. The reason it's worse is because the chips went all in before the turn.
This just happened today at the Niagara Falls Casino. My son won an entry into the Degree Poker Championship last month and his first round was today. For those of you not familiar with the Degree Poker Championship you can check it out here: http://www.degreepoker.com/.
The structure for the tournament is pretty aggressive - you start with 2000 chips and the blinds start out at 25-50, so you better pick up cards early if you're going to survive. Anyway, my boy plays maybe one or two hands during the first level and loses 300 chips. Early in the second level he gets dealt QQ and is 3rd to act. He bets out around 400 chips and gets two callers. The flop comes Qs3c3s. The pot is about 1500 chips and he has about 1200 chips in front of him so he pushes. The guy to his left immediately calls and the other player folds. The caller flips over As5s (giving him a flush draw). When my son turns his cards over the other guy gets up and starts putting on his coat to leave. He watches as the dealer turns over the 4s on the turn. Then he stares in amazement as the 2s comes on the river. Unbelieveably the guy has hit a runner runner straight flush.
I wasn't there to see this, but I guess my boy pulled a Phil Helmuth when the river card hit (who can blame him). At least he can laugh about it now, but it must have been pretty hard to take when it happened. My many bad beats over the last several months don't seem so bad now!

you cannot top that bad beat. The only way he could have won from the flop , is to get consecutivly the exactly only two cards left in the deck. You just cannot suck out worse
@dave how long have you been playing in a casino to win a jackpot ? I want to win a jackpot ( A nice one , our usualy 20k-45k jackpot , right now is sitting at 5k - which loser would get 2k - not bad but not comparable to 15k )

because tillerman is a known player in the online videogames "world" and already told this hand didnt happen.
Also (although that doesnt work anymore as the hand is very old), when u requested that specific hand (#525408945) in PS, the hand u would receive wasnt the same as the one posted on Pokerhand.

Yea Tillerman is a fairly known player, used to be a progamer turned into a pro-poker player. Not sure exactly how he does but I'd imagine fairly well, he went into before it was hugely popular.

As someone mentioned, this cant be beaten however, I can tie it.
It happened over 8 months ago and as ive switched cpu's since them the history is long gone, but you dont really forget beats like this.
I get dealt JJ, villain raised some (no idea how much prolly 5 bb or so)
i just called.
Flop comes out J J x ( where x is NOT an A)
He comes out betting, i raise, he goes allin, i obviously call.
Flips AA, i show my quads.
NO need to finish this story.. really.. you all know the ending
A A
Fortunately it was only a $5 sng, so i could only laugh...

Man, I'm a bit bummed that this hand wasn't legitimate. I'm sure it's happened at SOME POINT in the history of poker with billions of hands that have been dealt. I'm sure you won't find it often in that high of limits....
